We travel a ton - all over the USA and I will tell everyone the biscuits and gravy here is just like my grandma's and never ever... thought anyone could make them at the same level---well I just found heaven! Should have known as we were entering and sawMorgan Freeman exiting (who held the door) and I said "thank you sir" He smiled as I noticed it was him....I wouldn't everbother the man; but he is such a wonderful guy and to top that he was an "Airman" too! God bless our soldiers and shields ofthe USA....Serving Morgan Freeman definitely made the staffs day - they all had big smiles while serving us....this is a greatplace for food and now great memories---Thanks Michelle! Also a special "Thanks" to the Chef serving up this wonderful meal -We will absolutely be back here and spread the word - let me just say this is a 10 on a 5 star scale PERFECTION!!!! Read more
Holy smokes. Food is amazing. Massive portions. I got the Hangover IV and couldn't finish it. So good but so much food. Quite a... bit of a wait to get seated so get here early. The food thing is you can get a drink from the upstairs bar while you wait. Read more
Pretty cool lil spot. Missed the waitress name but we sat at the bar. She was cool. Drinks and food were pretty good too. Not... many healthy items but we made it work. I'd visit again !! Read more
The hostess was all over the place and kept telling everyone she was one person doing the work of four people. There was one... couple in front of us to put their name down, and another walked up after us. She took down the couple that walked up after us.We were told the wait would be about an hour. It ended up being only 30 minutes. Our server was Dylan (Dillon?), and he wasexcellent. While we were waiting for our food, we observed that some of the other waitstaff were struggling with managing theirtables, so I think we got lucky. Some tables were waiting for a while just to have their drink order taken. The food was okay.The Sun Up seemed a bit skimpy on the amount of food you get. The catfish biscuit that comes with it is just a really largebiscuit. They?re made in-house every day. I thought it was mediocre. The cinnamon roll waffle was good but not amazing. Read more
Oh man...where do I start? How about the wait. 25 minutes to an hour. Ok, No problem. That wait turned into an hour and twenty... minutes. But at least we got to wait upstairs at the bar. Bartender was adorable and made for great small talk. Once we werefinally seated and ordered it was well past another two hours before we got our food. Our poor waitress came back to inform usthat there was a problem with the waffle maker. But she was going to give us a discount for our wait. Holy rusted metal batman,The order was wrong when it finally made it to our table. Don't recommend the waffle burger thing. We arrived at 10:15am, It wasafter 1 by the time we got out of there and didn't even get to eat. Had to get it to go and get to the drive home. Sorry guys,hope you get those waffle makers fixed.???? Shout out to Victoria who was a great server even though we got there close to closing. The Island mimosa was lovely? a great... start to what turned out to be a stupendous meal. I had the smash burger as a salad (wouldn?t add cheese again). The cheese onmy burger was a little odd? I ordered white American but had a few random bits of yellow American. Still don?t know what thatwas about. My partner had the fried steak and eggs with a giant cat head biscuit. All in all, a pretty solid meal with a greatdrink. Read more
Wait staff were very nice. I had the egg scramble with onions, peppers and avocado. My wife had the bananas foster waffles with... eggs and hash browns. The food came out quickly and it tasted great. Read more
