Dinned in at 11am on Saturday 7/16. The waitress that brought out my plate from the kitchen (Johnnie is her name apparently) had... a nasty attitude. She placed my plate down, muttered something under her breath walked away as she smirked and shook her head.She did that because I did not place my order number in the allocated place for it on the number holder on the table. I wassurprised so I kept watching her as she walked over to one of the other workers and whispered in his ear and he immediatelylooked up at me. Right then I knew she said something else about me. I visited this Edgar's location with a new friend, and as always I loved their breakfast. I always get the pimento cheese,... bacon, and egg biscuit, delicious! I got a caramel iced latte this time as well. The coffee was super sweet and had way too muchmilk in it, it barely tasted like coffee. I told one of the servers and asked if I could get a different coffee, and she happilyaccommodated my request! Her name was Jillian, and she was also the girl to bring our food out. First visit to Edgar's. Got a to-go order of chicken salad, pimento cheese, an orange roll and German chocolate cake. The... orange roll was superb. Not too sweet and lots of orange flavor. The chicken salad was tasty. The cake was for a friendhaving a birthday and they raved about how good the cake was. The only disappointment, and I'm being picky here, the pimentocheese wasn't my favorite. There are as many versions of pimento cheese in the South as there are cooks. This had all theright ingredients but it lacked flavor in my opinion. I like it spicy. Don't be afraid to try it though, it may be just whatyou are looking for. I'll definitely be back for the orange rolls. I also want to try the cinnamon rolls if I can get thereearly enough. Read more
I purchased a cake from Edgar's Bakery for Christmas Eve. We have patronized them through the years. The cake was purchased the... day before and placed in the refrigerator. When I took it out to serve to our guests on Christmas Eve afternoon, it startedfalling as I was slicing it. It would not stay firm as I sliced it. This had never happened before and was really embarrassing.I called the store that following Monday and they asked me to send a picture for their evaluation and I did. When someonefinally contacted me, they informed me that there was nothing that they could do and the decorater saw nothing wrong with thecake. This bakery will take your money but refuse to take responsibility for their errors. I find it very unfortunate that allthe business that they have and the years that we have patronized them, they refused to even acknowledge their mistake. Hey All I like to say Edgar's has it hands down the breakfast was outstanding the grits was cook like a southern would ... cook them and they. And if you have a Sweet tooth well you in luck at Edgar's they have it all the pecan chocolate chips cookies are killer.
