I had been told this place had the best breakfast in town but despite having been here for 8 years and only living an hour away... previously, I had never been. We went for breakfast and were able to get a booth immediately. It took a little bit of time todecide what we wanted to get not because the menu was so daunting but because EVERYTHING sounded good. We finally ordered 2plates. First was with eggs, grits, bacon and toast. The second was with eggs, rice, smoked sausage and biscuits. We also had apancake to split. It was all great. The usual expectation was that we would need to put some salt in the grits and rice and wehad to do that but it's understandable knowing it's smarter to let some foods be seasoned by each customer. Everything else wasgreat. The biscuits weren't heavy, the meats were cooked well and everything was well worth it. This place truly lived up to theexpectations. Thus was a great experience. The waitress, Melissa was also great and the price of these meals was amazing. Thisis easily one of the best places for breakfast in Birmingham and I will definitely be frequenting this Read more

Ate lunch here after a several year gap between the last visit and it was just as good as I remembered. Very good food with... friendly staff and service. The smothered pork chop was delicious as were the vegetables and piece of lemon pie. My coworker hadnever seen a butter dispenser. I told him that was old school. Good lunch spot. Read more

Greasy Spoon. Everything seems to be the cheapest quality. Vegetable oils and High fructose in everything. The service was... great. The food was delivered quickly. Coffee was good. The biscuits were were the best part. Would I come back? No. WouldI tell people not to go there? No, it's a cheap low frill meal. Read more

Only meat and three like it in Birmingham, likely Alabama. If you?re concerned with health ratings, this isn?t the place for... you. If you?re after a truly old school meat and three cafeteria, this is about as authentic as it gets. The owner is a friendlyguy that?s always behind the counter and greeting customers as they come through. Worth checking out, if nothing else, to beable to say you?ve been there. Read more

Breakfast was great! The restaurant was clean and everyone was friendly! But, it is more of a traditional diner, so don't... expect super fast service, but it was worth the wait. Read more
