What a wonderful experience! Logan, our waiter, was fantastic. He made the night special and clearly loves what he does. The... lasagna and chicken parmesan were perfect ?comfort food?. Paired with the an excellent wine and finished with the dessertspecial, the dining experience was amazing. Call ahead and secure a reservation, if you want to have any hope of enjoying thesame. We have been to Gianmarcos numerous times over the years and they continue to be one of the top Italian restaurants in the... Birmingham area consistently delivering top quality fresh entrees and appetizers. The two brothers have brought the real dealItalian from NY city I believe. What you need to know. Make reservations. There's a wine bar behind the restaurant that youmight be able to slip in at 5pm. Beautiful and quaint! Nice to see people dress for dinner. Service awesome and food amazing. Smells so delicious . We did curb... side service but would really love to come back for full experience. Valet parking available, catering too. Read more

Exclusive little restaurant in quite neighborhood. Crowded for a Monday night dinner. This is by means not a quiet place, ... pretty loud atmosphere (extremely loud table next to us, literally ears were hurting). Street side parking is free. On-sitevalet parking available. Food was decent, Penne Vodka is spot on. Eggplant permesan, and Ricotta & Mozzarella Ravioli aredecent. Fiocchi was OK, didn't quite like it. I would say 3.5 ???? Got takeout from here for my bday. Called at 5, told to pick up at 5:30. Was told upon placing order to park out front in... curbside parking and someone would take our payment and bring out order. Pulled up at 5:33 due to traffic. Parked in curbsideparking. Valet man in front told us that they knew we were there and someone would be with us shortly. Ten minutes later,nothing. So I called and was told they had no idea we were there and had checked out front and that no one was there. Informedthem we were literally in front of their building in curbside parking. Finally someone comes out and apologized and said hecould not see us due to us being in a smaller car and parked next to a larger suv. Didn?t make the effort to check each parkingspot that had a curbside parking sign and assumed no one was there. He apologized and took our payment. We waited and waitedagain, no food and now they had our money. Another guy checked on us and we asked for a manager. Never came. At six o?clock theother guy finally brought our $80 order out and listened to our disappointment and while he was polite and did apologize it wasstill disappointing. Maybe the dine in experience is better but this experience makes me not want to return. Finally got homeand ate. The cheesecake was delicious. The mushroom ravioli was ok. The tiramisu was ok. My husband loved the shrimp alfredo.For the price and all overall though, probably won?t return. Too many other places have quality food AND good service. Unfortunately the food is neither traditional Italian nor of good quality. We found little to no culinary value here. The... ingredients were low quality and the combinations did not lend well to the palate. The veal was the only part of anything wetried that was decent quality, but only the meat. It lacked proper preparation. The pasta sauce, and all the sauces for thatmatter, were very bland. I got an older fashion from the bar (which had a poor whiskey selection to begin with), and it was theworst old fashion I?ve ever had. Not even made properly. The service was decent, despite the location being busy. I was leftthinking that maybe this location was at one time a great restaurant, and it?s now running on its old reputation. I hope theymanage to improve, but I won?t be back to find out. The prices we?re too high to risk trying another round at a poor experience.For me anyway. Read more
