Quick service. Visited this location today. I visited Gus? years ago I think in Memphis , and before they came to Birmingham.... Anyway, if you like spicy, you will love the chicken. I had a two piece mixed with Mac and cheese and baked beans. The chickenhas a very thin crust on it which tastes like it?s marinated in hot sauce. I prefer more breading and crust myself. The Mac andcheese was thick but needed salt in my opinion. The beans were tasty. Good visit and wasn?t busy. The cashier acted like shewanted to be at work. Good chicken. Good sides too but sides could have been warmer. Clean and comfy. It has TV's that do not have media, which is a... great practice. I will return. I got the 3 wing plate w/ Mac and cheese and collards. My daughter got the chicken fingers and fries which she only ate the... fries she was not a fan of the chicken. The only gripe I got was my sides was cold and they tasted store bought not home made.The waitress was so sweet and welcoming that I really didn?t mind the wait cause me and my daughter was just relaxing taking inthe atmosphere and enjoying ourselves. The best chicken spot in the city! It?s really a hidden gem and could use more exposure. I always enjoy visiting and the food is... always good. If there is ever an issue (very rare), it always gets addressed. Starr is the sweetest and it?s always a pleasureto have her as a server.
