We?ve been to the trussville location, but this experience was superior in every way. We were greeted and sat quickly, our... server Mariah was personable and quick to offer her choice favorites (which paid off for both my husband and I), our drinks weremanaged throughout the meal, the food was quick, hot and well prepared, quite literally everything exceeded our expectations. Wewere so thrilled with the service we stopped to speak with the manager Rob on our way out. The service ran like a well oiledmachine despite being short staffed and having large parties in house. The Birmingham location is just as good as the Trussville location. Equally outstanding food and service! The seafood bisque is... amazing! My husband and I both ordered the oyster sampler and the asparagus. Highly recommend coming here! Read more
Excellent dinner and service (Aaron). I first ate at Half Shell in Biloxi and have been wanting to go back. I recently found... out there are a couple of locations in/near Birmingham. There will also be a new location in Pelham around the end of May(Campus 124 complex). A truly great place for date night. We had crawfish cornbread, charbroiled oysters, seafood stuffedportobello, and Caesar salad with voodoo shrimp. All were very good. Read more
Love love love this place Visiting Birmingham for the first time and exploring all the seafood places and this place is... definitely one of my favorite. I had a whole dozen of raw oysters ???? by myself they were the biggest oysters I have ever seenand they tasted so good, the seafood dip was amazing and the kids' popcorn shrimp was good. Nice. They get all 5 stars because they covered all the bases. Professionalism, cleanliness, quality, reasonable price, and... honesty ( they were upfront regarding wait times ). The gem we discovered was the fried okra! I don't think this side dish getsits due. The waitress should say, " you gotta try Our Okra!". Read more
Wonderful! Was in the area, had an impromptu lunch. For appetizer or meal, I would Recommend the Tuna Dip & The Oyster... sampler. The hubby got the Shrimp Trio and I got The uptowner for lunch. I'll definitely be getting that again! Highlyrecommend! Read more
