The food was delicious! We had the crab cake appetizer and it was probably the best I\'ve ever had. It had more meat than... breading and the seasoning was perfect; it quite simply melted in our mouths. For entrees, we had the chicken piccata which waswonderful and the filet with asparagus and scalloped potatoes with a side of sauteed spinach. The filet was a little bit on thesalty side but was very tender and fresh. And the sauteed spinach was excellent!\nTo top it off, we had the warm white chocolatebread pudding. It was outstanding!\nOur server, David, was delightful! He was personable while still being professional and wasperfectly attentive. Absolutely loved dinner at Oak House - Mt Laurel! My chicken piccata was probably the best I have ever had. My husband loved... the lamb. Nice, quaint restaurant that really does it right. Highly recommend! Read more

We have eaten at Oak House a handful of times and have never been disappointed. Last night we took our son for a belated... birthday dinner and he got my favorite, the tomahawk pork chop. Needless to say he was not disappointed. The chicken piccata hassuch a rich and creamy sauce that you can tell they poured passion for food into it. So glad this place is in the Mt Laurelarea. A fabulous experience. Wait staff,Tristan; all very friendly and prompt with service. All the food and drink orders came... quickly. Each course was cooked to perfection. We had special drinks; pork belly; sea bass; pork chop ; scallops; all threedesserts. By far the best food and service we have had in Birmingham in our 8 years here. What a special treat! My husband and I love to travel and are major foodies. We hit the jackpot with this restaurant in our own... city!\nI was reluctant to try the Cajun Shrimp appetizer, but after a few people recommended it, we tried it. I was pleasantlysurprised- it was flavorful without putting my mouth on fire. (No need for Pepcid)! For entrees, I had the sea bass…. Iseriously could have the meal as my only meal for the rest of my life!!! It was THAT good. It had a little sweet balance soakedup in the black rice. My husband chose the scallops, which were just as wonderful. Our plates were left EMPTY! My leastfavorite item was the bread pudding, which I’m normally not a big fan of to begin with… but my husband loves (so to be fair,I’m not the best judge of this). We loved everything SO much, we took another entry TO GO…. The chicken piccata. Wehaven’t tried it yet, but based off our incredible dinner, it’s sure to be great! Read more

With many fine dining experiences under my belt I am completely at awe with this establishment. I have eaten the finest meals... the south has to offer, and I am going to make a very bold statement here... This has got to be the very best OVERALL dinningexperience ever. I could not find a thing to complain about if I tried. Let me put it like this, there is a food item or two atother establishments that may be a favorite of mine, but never have I had near perfection from the beginning of a meal to theend. Every dish that came was prepared perfectly including the samples of my wife\'s plate that I stole! Do yourself a favor andgive this place a try and whatever you do, do not leave without a slice of the bread pudding. We will return very soon! Read more

Cannot say enough good things about this place. Thrilled to have a new upscale option in the 35242 that rivals the excellence... and flavors of Bellinis, Chuck’s, etc. Lovely atmosphere, great bar area, friendly staff, delicious cocktails.\n\nOur dinnerselections included the house salad, crab cakes, filet, mac n cheese & truffle fries. Everything was excellent. The crab cakeswere fresh and the perfect texture, the filet was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I can’t wait to go back! ?? Read more
