Parkside on Fifth.. Newly renovated, Under New Management actually the Owner Tim..and his staff are amazing, super friendly and... the entire establishment is very inviting. I read several of the negative reviews and comments that are related to the previousmanagers of Parkside the Bar, and noted that those reviews were posted a year or more ago. The current business of Parkside onFifth is owned and operated by the buildings owner Tim Burt. I must note that Tim, was heart broken about the dark cloud overhis beloved building from the previous tenants. When the legal documents were clear, he decided to renovate and restore hisbrand name Parkside, and the building to reflect himself. Thus,Birmingham has PARKSIDE on Fifth which opened late spring of2022 and has had nothing but great results, excellent Food from The Hot Box on the patio, and the outside bar as well. Thereis a inviting menu to feed your appetite, welcoming seating area in the patio which feels like home, delicious drinks from thebar, may I suggest "the Whitney" as you enjoy the most comforting atmosphere with very nice professional staff and theirsmiling faces. This Parkside on Fifth promises to give you the best experience with Sunday Brunch or perhaps a romantic eveningout. Drinks with co workers, or just a quiet moment to reflect on your day with a bite and drinks, you'll come back for moreas you introduce your family and friends to Parkside on Fifth it will quickly become one of your favorite spots. My girlfriend has always wanted to take me to this bar, but after the previous tenant revealed that he was hateful during the... BLM movement we steered clear of it. She was so excited to hear that the building had been revamped and is under new ownership,so we visited last night! The building itself is gorgeous and the inside is very classy with lots of ambiance. We had twodrinks, wings and a burger while we were inside and everything was delicious! 10/10! The back patio is very relaxed and openwith comfy furniture, and while we were sitting outside with a few friends we met the owner of the building, Tim! He is such akind and friendly guy, and he said that he saved the building from being condemned 22 years ago. He owned an interior designshop in it for a while and then rented it out to the guy who ran it as a bar until October 2021. He was heartbroken to hear thathis tenant was so hateful and he was frustrated that he had no legal standing to kick him out. He explained that this buildingis his baby and he is so grateful to have it back so that he can create a space with ?something for everyone?. *New establishment, not associated with the old Parkside on Fifth from what I'm told* Fantastic Sunday brunch and great place to... relax outside with a drink and friends! More details: Saw a post by Bham Now about this place opening back up AND having aSunday brunch! We were excited for finally having another brunch spot on this side of town since Silvertron closed a while backand it's better than driving all the way to Homewood for 2.5 hour waits. We went on their first brunch Sunday after opening backup. They open at 11 and food started around 12. It's an all online ordering system, use your phone to scan a QR code. Greatatmosphere inside and very cool outdoor area! Looks like the outside is all new furniture looking at the old reviews. The drinkswere a high end experience. Our waiter was very professional about the champagne and mimosas. He was also very attentive toanything we needed. The mimosa flight was 3 fresh juices and a bottle of champagne, great for sharing. The juice cups were verymessy, hard to pour from, but our waiter was nice enough to clean up after us. The food is from a truck parked in the outdoorarea. Saw the french toast and it looked great, but we ended up getting the chorizo hash and the breakfast burger! The chorizowas a smaller portion (probably normal portion for everywhere else in the world), but still plenty of food, the burger was agreat size and the egg done perfectly! The staff from the bar and the food truck were all very kind and attentive. It was theirfirst weekend opened, so of course there were some learning curves, but they did great! We were greeted by the nicest woman uponentering and the rest of the experience was just as pleasant. There were not a ton of people at the brunch (many of our friendshad not heard about it opening back up and the times on google did not yet include a Sunday brunch time), but I hope theycontinue the atmosphere once they get popular. The Parkside had a great selection of drafts and a really excellent atmosphere. My group took the table in the window and held... court for a few hours on a week night. Love the atmosphere and Hotbox out back has great food. Highly recommended. Read more
