We visited Pies & Pies for lunch today to celebrate the end of our department orientation. I had been telling my coworkers about... their Cuban Pork pizza which will convert pineapple-on-pizza-haters! We ordered a large Cuban pork pizza, a large house saladwith the Gorgonzola dressing (with house-made croutons to die for), and a steak and cheese sandwich. This visit was okay, this come from the Sriracha Char -grilles wings that I was craving for. I ordered those and a half... Mediterranean pie and One with Shrimp and artichoke hearts(DELISH BY THE WAY). Somebody in the back thought it was a great ideato serve as old reheated cold Sriracha wings with some parley. Man, the disappointment. I have had them before there, servedpipping hot, juicy, and delish. I had waited on those for weeks. I brought my son to experience Pint and Pies, to expose him toa variety of flavors and spices. You can imagine the disappointment. So, ww enjoyed the pizza, and will come back and trysomething else. One of the best American style pizza place in Birmingham. The pizza is crunchy and the combination of the toppings are always... amazing. It?s a type of the restaurant you can trust for blind picks if you can accept pineapple on pizza. We order the nachos,10 inch Thai pizza and 10 inch beaf and mushroom pizza for a group of 3. Looking for a pizza pie out of the ordinary? Rustic feel? Follow the signs to Pies & Pints. I started with the wings (8 piece)... and they were not the normal fried and sauced yet they are seasoned and flame grilled finished with a char grill. Siracha-limeseasoning really pops out on the wings highly recommend. I chose the regular pizza route which didn?t disappoint. Medium crustcooked perfect with plenty of toppings and was not greasy. Place offers many other specialty pies which I will try next time I?min town. I was told chicken Gouda and chipotle chicken pies are a must at this place! Enjoy! So, this my second time going to this spot! When I want a "different" taste to my pizza, this is my go to spot!???????? The... tomato sauce is awesome!
