A friend and I had lunch at the Smokehouse Steak & Seafood Restaurant (they are only open for breakfast and lunch). We found an... extensive selection of food from which to choose - it is cafeteria style. This restaurant is located at the entrance to theFarmers Market so you get good, fresh, home-grown vegetables. The Smoke House is your classic 'Meat and three' vegetables place and it's my go-to. I think they generally have 10 to 15 meats... and countless vegetables to choose from everyday. Everything from the meats, the vegetables, the desserts, the service, it's allexcellent. I believe it is a family-run business, and you are always treated like you're someone. You won't find many places inBirmingham that are better, if any. I love this place, probably too much. Located conveniently in front of the Farmers Market. We walked into Smokehouse to eat...The guy behind the buffet looked at us with a awful look on his face and yeld out we close in... 20mins...My husband looked at him said what time do you close he said with a look on his face(letting us know we are not welcomeeven though ppl were in there & food was still put out) in 20mins...I looked at him said you don't want our busy fine so wewalked out...I work in the industry some what like this and you never make a costumer feel like they are not wanted here ofcourse we didn't realize what time they closed and the sign said open we didn't think nothing of it until we got treated in themost horrible way...The owner needs to know you don't treat a paying customers that way...I know I don't when they even come in5 til closing time...I normally don't go in somewhere right before they close I know how it feels but I dont like being treatedlike that either... Oh my. This has got to be the best meat and 3, 4 or 5 in Birmingham. It is so delicious, clean and the best service. Love it

Oh my! I pass this place every week. I've had their lunch but never had the breakfast until last week!!!! The breakfast took me... back to when my granny used to cook for us on the weekend. Everything was delicious. I don't even eat eggs but they were soogood and pretty I eat them. Oh ! Idk what kind of smoke sausage that was but it was great. I pulled over to the side of the roadand ate lol I couldn't wait. I'll be in town tomorrow and I'll be making my way over there. Read more
