We arrived for our reservation time and were seated promptly. Our waiter came to the table to take our drink order quickly but... forgot about us the rest of the night. Our experience was awful. We sat with empty cocktails and waters for the majority oftime we were there. The only time we received refills is when we grabbed our waiters attention. Asked for more bread, neverreceived it. We finally ordered dinner and my food came out first. About 10 minutes later, my brother in laws food arrived. We decided to wait to eat until my sister and husband received their food, but it never came. We finally were able to grab ourwaiters attention and inquired about the missing food. He went to kitchen to check on our order and came back and informed usour missing food is unavailable and they need to pick something different off the menu. We ordered over an hour ago and were nottold this until we will inquired about our food. My sister is vegetarian and ordered the only vegetarian menu option so she hadno other choices for dinner. She ended up ordering a small side salad for her dinner and left the restaurant still hungry. Bythe time we finally received the rest of the food, most of us were done eating and sat and watched the others eat. Verydisappointing experience, especially when the meal cost over $500. We do not recommend and we will never be back to eat there. There are other steak houses in Blackhawk, we suggest you eat there instead. Food was amazing! BUT we caught serious attitude from the hostess when she sat us because out reservation went from 9 people to... 7 (friends had a medical emergency) what was odd was that it wouldn't have made a difference with the space given the way theyput the tables together. Everything was expensive which we knew but when we went to pay we got some more issues. There were 3couples and a single person and that is how we wanted to pay (typical request). The waiter spent 10 mins explaining why hecouldn't do it because they can only split evenly and blah blah blah, just for him to be like well I can split it how you wantto I'm just not supposed to. If I'm paying $100+ per person then you're gonna split the check how I want you to! Ridiculous! Read more
I had a reservation for 7:45pm for a bachelor party. We had planned our evening around this, and by 7:45 the fellas needed food.... We were not seated until after 8:30 and then sat in a room with no ambiance. The waiter was unwilling or unable to split thebill and quite frankly was rude throughout the evening. My fish was cold, and another member of the party sent his steak back.No one was impressed by the food. I really wanted to have a classy evening for my brother and booked the Ameristar due to yourreputation. I was extremely disappointed. Service was great. Halibut had good flavor but the skin was a bit tough on the edges. I did like the mashed potatoes but I think... the prices were a bit too high. Read more
Staff is friendly and the food had great presentation but our whole lobster was undercooked and we couldn't get another as it... was too late...I would like to try again sometime with the expectation all of my food is cooked Read more
Terrible. Didn’t honor reservations. We were finally seated one hour later, not in the restaurant, but a section attached to... the outside of the restaurant adjacent to loud gambling. Our tables were cartoonishly wobbly, we asked our server for somethinginside the restaurant that doesn’t wobble, he stated it’s the best he had and will try to locate a piece of cardboard forthe table. No intervention from management, no apology for the missed reservation, no comped cocktails for the inconveniences.At this point our group decided to leave. If you’re heading up to Black Hawk, I would highly suggest avoiding this place.There’s plenty of cool places to eat where you actually feel like a valued guest. Read more
Great food and great service. Prices are a little high but you get what you pay for. I had the bison tomahawk chop and it was... phenomenal! It was a great cut of meat and perfectly cooked at medium rare. At the suggestion of our server, I added thelobster Oscar which was a great call. Others in my party had the prime rib and a couple of filets. Everyone was happy with whatthey had ordered. Our server, KK, was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Had dinner reservations at 7:15. Waited over an hour for our food and saw multiple tables that were seated after us have their... meals, pay and leave. Our waitress told us that because of a large table, it was slowing down the kitchen. But when our foodcame out and the fries and steak were cold. The chicken was overly salty to the point that it could not be eaten. The waitressdid take off one of the steaks and had the kitchen remake our fries. When you go to a nicer restaurant that is pricy, you expectyour food to be hot and taste good. Will not go back as it is a waste of time and money. Read more
