This place serves up incredible biscuit sandwiches. They even have a 9 ounce gluten-free biscuit that is the best that we have... ever tried. Given the size of their biscuits alone, it goes without saying that they offer very generous portions, and he willlikely be left with leftovers for the next day. Read more

Super cute little place! It?s very popular so you have to wait (line goes outside) to order. They won?t let you order until... there are seats available for your party. Great selection of pastries, biscuits and other breakfast meals. Excellent customerservice too! The only complaint I have is that after waiting so long to get my food (30 minutes in line) that my gravy biscuitswere not hot and my cafe mocha was not hot..lukewarm at best. I did completely enjoy the chocolate croissant and will definitelygo back for that! Read more

We were looking for a Sunday spot for breakfast and Blue Ridge Biscuit Company came up on my search. The photos posted were... enticing enough to make us want to check it out. When we got there around 9:45 there was a line out the door. Since we hadn'tbeen there before, we didn't know their system, but it looked like counter service with food brought to the tables, from what wecould see through the window. The line basically didn't move for about 15 minutes, but as people exited, it started flowingagain. Once we realized they were controlling the flow of orders based on the tables available, the line made more sense.Anyways, on to the food. The biscuits were fresh, the sauces and gravys were excellent, and the waffle was fluffy and tasty. Ihad the smoky mountain Brook biscuit which had a smoked trout dip, dill cream cheese sauce, and tomato jam. You could taste thefish, but the flavor was not overpowering, and the dill sauce and tomato jam were perfect. My poached egg was soft and finishedoff the biscuit perfectly. My friend ordered the lookout biscuit, but got pimiento cheese instead of cheddar which was a greatsubstitution. The service was friendly and efficient. I absolutely think that the food was worth the wait, although I'm hopingto try it on a weekday sometime when the line isn't so long! Read more

Busy place with a line out the door on a Sunday is usually almost always a good sign. However, my partner and I were left with... mixed feelings. The biscuit itself wasn?t special. One of the chicken strips was a little pink in the middle (I understand theonly requirement for it to be considered safe to consume is that it reaches a particular temp). What we were impressed by wasthe waffle (so big and fluffy) and that the food was not greasy. I think the next time we are in town, we may try this placeagain. Maybe earlier so that we can try some of their fresh pastries. Read more

My Father in Law and I had to run to Black Mountain. We decided to eat while we were there but didn't know where. I looked up... several local restaurants and this one stuck out. Upon entry we were greeted by wonderful smells and a friendly smile. I ordered"The Lookout". It is fried chicken on top of a 9 oz scratch made biscuit with cheddar cheese, delicious smokey bacon and sausagegravy. My Father in Law had the biscuit and gravy and he loved it. It was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. Read more

My wife and I came here for a mid-morning breakfast and were absolutely blown away. In an era of smartphones and ?googling?... phrases like ?restaurants near me? in search of the best ratings, we just saw this place from the road and pulled in. My wifehad The Lookout and I ordered the Black Mountain Bennie. Hers was wholesome, the mixture of the chicken and gravy blendedperfectly. The flavor of salt and pepper was great. The Black Mountain Bennie was equally as savory. Blending the ham, theHolidaise sauce, the seasonings, and the poached egg into one bite really made the meal for me. And the fresh asparagus added atouch of healthiness to the meal that I found very satisfying. Coupled with a little apple butter and the iced coffees that feltmore naturally-flavored than anything we?ve ordered at any chain coffee store made this restaurant a staple for us if we evervisit Black Mountain again. We leave out tomorrow for Alabama. But we will definitely be back before we hit the road to trysomething different from their unique and expansive menu. This place should be your stop for breakfast.
