#MYC This is THE place if you are/have vegan/vegetarian/GF friends. Heck, this place is amazing if you like meat! The tacos were... delicious (braised pork). The homemade hot sauce is ????. The other pic is the southern bowl with Jack fruit bbq. Our waiter,Cameron, also made the experience amazing. She took a picture of us and made the dinner night out ????????. Delish small plates and refreshing adult beverages. People start lining up by 5 pm for a seat in their outdoor dining area,... which is under shade trees and flower plantings. There are a few tables inside near the cocktail bar as well. Dogs are welcomeon leash when sitting outside. Servers are sweet, attentive and efficient. Restrooms are clean. The hidden surprise is thedownstairs air conditioned area with comfy couches and plenty of side tables for drinks or plates. It is like a calming cave forrelaxing and escaping from the heat. Stumbled upon this place while walking around waiting for a table at another restaurant. Wow, I loved everything about this... place. The staff had such good vibes, the music, decor, the food, it was all amazing. I honestly didn?t want to leave. Therewas a small hiccup with my order and the staff went out of their way to make it right, it was amazing service. I?m also dairyand gluten free and you couldn?t ask for better options. Goldfinch is located on Cherry Street which is the large patio with the big tree. We were greeted by Amber with her joyful,... fairylike personality. She seated us immediately and provided sambal coated almonds while we decided on drinks andfood. VIBE The patio has a casual ambiance with great music. If you ask nicely, they?ll share the Spotify playlists with you.The patio is dog friendly and beautifully lit in the evenings. They also have a very cool interior area where you can chill andhave drinks, the interior area reminds me of a speakeasy. DRINKS I had a Black Dahlia which is a charcoal infused gin, rosesyrup, lemon, and egg white. Jackie does an awesome job mixing drinks. My drink had a light, refreshing flavor. My BF got a mulewith Tito?s vodka, it was also good. FOOD The tacos were flavorful! I enjoy tacos with corn tortillas and Goldfinch does itright. We ordered the jerk chicken and carnitas tacos, both were delicious, Amber offered a pineapple salsa(?) to drizzle on topand it brought the flavors out even more. To balance it out we had the house salad with salmon and it?s my current favoritesalad. Compliments to the chef, whose name escapes me. We extended our stay in Black Mountain because we love the vibe andespecially enjoy coming to Goldfinch for dinner. Read more
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the food, the people that work there and the ambiance of the place. Love the concept, very... clean tasting food and healthy. We were in from Charlotte and look forward to coming back to try other things on the menu thatlookef really good. Read more
My husband and I were in Black Mountain for a week and ate at Goldfinch multiple times. I got hooked on the tacos. We love the... vibe of the restaurant and the outdoor seating. The staff is wonderful and you leave feeling like you?ve made new friends. Ifyou?re into super spicy, ask about their house-made habanero carrot hot sauce. (And do yourself a favor, try it before you pourit on everything). This place is a treasure and we look forward to visiting again on our next trip. Read more
My favorite spot on our trip. The atmosphere, the people, the drinks, the food. I don?t think my husband and I stayed so long at... a bar. I wish we had more appetite to try more of the food. I'm local but eating at Goldfinch made me feel like I was on vacation! My husband and I actually came here two nights in a row.... Lots of vegan meals and the dessert is vegan as well. The staff are really sweet and helpful. I thought the prices were veryfair. Glad BM has this place! Read more
