Quaint and cozy. The French Onion soup was amazing. Spinach crepe with Bechamel sauce and sausage was delicious. We recommend... and we'll be back:) Read more

We can?t say enough good things about La Guinguette. First, the staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is... cozy and welcoming; you really feel like you?ve stepped into a small (charming!) French town. The food was outstanding. Myhusband had empanadas and I had the French onion soup and a salad. All of it was great. The real icing on the cake, though, wasthe dessert? the crepes were some of the best we?ve ever had. (We are already planning another visit to try the savoryversions!) From start to finish, our meal at La Guinguette was delightful. We loved all of the restaurants we tried out inBlack Mountain, but this one is truly something special. We can?t wait to return! Read more

Great, local French restaurant. Stopped in for crepes for dessert, was not disappointed. A glass of wine and a few fresh fruit... crepes later, full and satisfied. Super cute little restaurant in downtown Black Mountain, don't miss! Read more

Tried and true this place always puts a smile on my face. It?s cute in nature both in decorating style outside and inside with... little unique cozy touches everywhere. It has a fusion of French and Argentinian cooking from empanadas to crepes. Make sure youtry some of our favorites like the french onion soup, tamales, empanadas, the savory (le Pistou or la Scandinave) and dessertcrepes (la Citron or la Buenos Aires) are just fantastic. Also they boast a great brunch mimosa and evening wine selection. Sarais who we usually see and she is dynamite. Always wonderful suggestions and pleasant conversationalist that is attentive to theguest. Plenty of outdoor seating and insides options with even some by a cozy fire. Between the service and the food it?s a homerun every time. Read more
