We ordered 1 caterpillar roll and 1 dynamite roll through Uber eats. I did not like it. Reasons: 1. Way too small of a portion... for the amount of money we have paid for our Uber eats order 2. The ingredients are not the freshest - as shown on the firstpicture. 3. The deep fried roll is doughy and soggy, instead of being crispy. 4. I ordered two rolls, and only one pair ofchopsticks came. I have been going off and on for several years. The cuisine is excellent and the service is very excellent. I particularly like... the Bento Box for lunch and just today had a nice sushi,sashimi combo as well. I wholeheartedly recommend Aki House! Read more
I was pleasantly surprised with the take out food I got from here. The sushi pizza was on point! I loved the “special sauce”... and the scallion pancake base! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever had before. The sushi rolls are really good as well and theyare quite large. I got 3 different specialty rolls and could not finish. We went to Aki for my bf’s birthday after we couldn’t make it for a reservation at another restaurant. I saw some of the... negative reviews on Yelp but after dining here, I honestly don’t understand how they have a bad rating! The service wasamazing, the waitress (sadly I didn’t get her name) was really energetic, very polite and just great. The food was fresh andso yummy! Sashimi and sushi was spot on. The General Tao’s Chicken was delicious, my bf finds a lot of places don’t get thesauce right or the texture is odd but Aki has the recipe to perfection. Price is reasonable. Also the waitress was more thanhappy to help me put the cake in the fridge, take it out with candles prepared and the custom topper I bought. In the rush ofgetting the cake and everything I had forgot candles and lighter, thankfully Aki had some on hand. You’re a lifesaver! Theonly cons I would have is that the restaurant was a bit cold- our table was right next to the door so it would be expected. Andthe bubble tea was more of a slush with a lot of tiny crushed ice, bubbles were a bit hard. But for $4 and convenience, not bad.All in all it was a lovely dining experience. Very glad we found this place, would come here again if I’m in the area. Tipsfor parking! Street parking was hard to find and we arrived around 5pm on a Friday, Glenwood Garage is just around the cornernext to the Buy-Rite Wine & Liquor store. It’s a 2 min walk from the restaurant. It was only $1 a hr (unheard of?? Cheapestparking I’ve ever seen lol) and for 2 hrs max. But additional is $1 per hr I believe? Not sure tbh. We stayed just slightlyover and it only charged me $2. Lots of parking spots available. (For those who are curious the cake is “Rouge Noir” fromDelice Macarons in Cranford. Dark chocolate & raspberry. Custom topper is from GoldenTopper on Etsy. So good!)
