What a joy to discover this little gem — definitely a cut above the typical Bloomfield eatery. Spacious inside for its size... and very clean, the food is fresh and flavorful, with unusual grace notes such as tiny flowers perched atop thoughtfullypresented dishes. Both indoor and outdoor dining options are available. The service is excellent as well — my husband isallergic to garlic, and despite the prevalence of garlic in Peruvian food, the kitchen was able to accommodate him while stillmanaging to produce an unusually tasty meal. Finally a Peruvian restaurant with amazing prices and fantastic food. We ordered Ceviche, Chorritos a la chalaca and Pollo... saltado. The food was fresh, good quality, authentic flavor and very delicious. There were some cute yet unnecessary details oflittle flowers in the plate. We also ordered flan, which was very good and thick (different from NY flan, which is very light).Overall, we are super happy. It's a shame there is nothing similar in Manhattan, all Peruvian restaurants there are low quality. Read more
Went here last Sunday was good delicious food but I’m giving it a 4 star because the anticuchos were not seasoned well as it... should be & the ceviche should of had more fish if I’m paying $$ & we felt rushed in the table to leave. Superb Peruvian food and pleasant setting. Ordered the grilled steak and whole q'enko fish. The steak was done to perfection.... The fish was pan-seared to a crispy exterior with tender interior. Came with calamari and stone shrimp and crab to boot.Friendly owner and staff. Highly recommend. Read more
Phenomenal! My husband and I were craving Peruvian cuisine and this restaurant blew our minds. I ordered the Peru a lo pobre... with chicken and my husband ordered it with steak. The chicken was so amazingly flavorful. It was even tastier than the steak!!I loved the combination of sweet, savory, and salty flavors that the dish had to offer. The overall atmosphere was nice, clean,and simple. The staff was very friendly. I can’t wait to come back and try more food! Read more
