A decent smoothie and juice bar on the border of Pontiac and Bloomfield. The staff were friendly and the eatery was very... clean. The wait for 1 smoothie was long which was odd because there were only a few other customers and 4 staff members. At a glance this place looked like the perfect healthy spot to grab a fresh meal. I order the boba blue bowl and the strawberry... almond salad. I should have read the description better for the boba blue bowl as I wouldn?t have order it. It?s basically afrozen slurpy with fruit and granola on top. Doesn?t pair well and so sweet - def not healthy. Unfortunately the salad was badtoo. The chicken was wet and soaked in something maybe to preserve it? I couldn?t eat it. The almonds were rancid tasting.Overall the ingredients are not locally sourced or high quality. $27 ? should have went to a real restaurant. I think if thefounders were to bring in more food that compliments homemade granola like locally sourced seasonal veggies. Higher qualitymeat, cheese, & nuts. Went to telegraph rd (Bloomfield location) this Sunday afternoon. The two ladies there were super nice and made the smoothie... perfect! The other smoothie place down the road (Topical Cafe) sucks in comparison! The put sugar in all their smoothies anddump 2 cups of ice in them so they have to use those giant cups making it seem like you?re getting a lot of the good stuff, yetit?s mostly water! They take longer to make a juice than it?d take me to grow the fruit myself. And for some reason they make everyone else?s... smoothies ahead of you before they make your own juice because ?it?s faster to make the smoothies? per an employee there. It was my first time to this location, and I've only been once Maybe twice before this. But it was a long time ago because I... cannot remember my experience. I ordered the Mango Tango Smoothie and absolutely loved it. I thought it was refreshing and justwhat I needed after work. However, I was not overly fond of the bowl, which I customized myself so everything in it I shouldlike. I ordered romaine lettuce, quinoa, red onions, banana peppers, cucumbers, hummus, chicken, a lime vinaigrette, and a spicycilantro dressing as well. The size was great, loved the fresh veggies and quinoa, even the dressing I loved. What I did notlike was the chicken. No flavor at all and to be honest I was kind of grossed out by the look of it and a little bit by thetexture. The hummus was okay, but I think next time I won't order it with this bowl. And unfortunately, this location seems tobe struggling slightly with communication and effective teamwork. However, that was just from my one time experience and Iunderstand that everyone has bad days. So will I be back, yes! But I'll be ordering a different meal. ***Edit- I have beennotified by the company that due to the national shortage of chicken they are using a temporary supplier, but are working onfinding a better solution.
