Good atmosphere, great service, excellent food
The food was shockingly bad. Incredibly bland with no seasoning, they charged extra for the salad dressing without mentioning... it, the fries tasted like they were sitting out for some time, the broccoli and "cheese" was velveeta at best. Service-wise, noone acknowledged us for at least 5 minutes after being seated. A busser gave us water, and no one else acknowledged us foranother 15 minutes. Every table but ours got bread. We were given the wrong appetizer but they left before we could sayanything. It sat uneaten on our table for another 10 minutes before we were able to point out it was wrong and send it back. Wedid not ask for a replacement, and had to remind them to take it off the bill when we got the check. The woman who seated us (Iassume an owner or manager) repeatedly went back and forth from sitting at the bar doing nothing to a table next to ours andeating food off their plates and talking to them then walking around and chewing, and not stopping at any other table to see howthey were doing or helping the servers. We waited over an hour for our food. The waitress said it was because I ordered lobster! It was not busy!! The place was dark... and dingy. The woman's restroom was horrible. There was some sort of rag or paper towel wrapped around a leaky faucet ,rust allover bathroom stalls! Looked like they hadn't spent a dime on the place for 50 years!!! Read more
Food was delicious! Great service! How sad that such a nice restaurant had cramped, dirty ladies restroom. The stall doors &... floor were filthy!! One must step in and to the side of the toilet o close the stall door. Otherwise it was a great diningexperience. This happens often at nicer restaurants! If they would follow the McDonald?s cleanliness standards! Read more
A Bloomington Normal classic. Solid steakhouse menu. It's not a "chain". It's a place we need to keep alive here. Great... steaks and ribs. Wonderful seafood menu. And have the cheese and cracker appetizer. Read more
We visited Ozark House Restaurant for the first time tonight. We didn't realize that it was kind of a mom-and-pop restaurant... until we arrived there since it was kind of in the middle of a neighborhood and across the street from the golf course. Uponarriving we expected that we would be waiting for a little bit but we went straight to our table, there weren't many people inthe restaurant. The waiter brought us our drinks and bread and butter while we waited. We ordered mozzarella cheese sticks foran appetizer, the marinara sauce kind of had a strong smell to it but it tasted alright, we also had ranch with those whichokay. My husband ordered the full slab of BBQ ribs and I ordered the barbecue chicken. The meal was good and very fulfilling butthe barbecue had kind of a unique taste to it and kind of a light color and a bit more on the sweet side. Upon looking around,we noticed that the restaurant was quite outdated, the duck picture was above our table but the large fish tank was quite nice,it was probably about 5 ft long. Read more
Great find in Bloomington, Illinois our way home to Michigan. After a long drive we stopped here for dinner. What a GREAT FIND!... Staff was wonderful and so kind. Great meal to end our long day! Highly recommend checking them out if your ever in the area. Read more
Went to this restaurant for First time since our move to Bloomington. Food was good. Service was very good I will go back
