One of the best Asian restaurants I've been to. I would definitely come back here. The food was great. Prices were reasonable.
Their lunch special is sad, it's just there to make the all you can eat look better. I ordered pumpkin and got 3 pieces of... pumpkin ???? similar servings to everything else and a bunch of noodles. This was a delicious dinner! Homey Hot Pot provides a unique dining experience, where you get to cook your food in-front of you.... The spicy broth was good and mixed with any vegetable or meat of your choice it makes for an amazing meal. There is also anoption for unlimited sushi on top of your hot pot, which only makes this meal better. It is impossible to leave here not full.The food was great, and the staff was on the same level as the food. They continuously came around filling up water, broth, andasking if we needed anything. Three of us had lunch here and the service was impeccable. They were extremely helpful teaching us the process (2 of us had not... had hot pot), even going so far as to mix their recommended sauce combo for us. We probably ordered too many things (maybe 20 orso) and left VERY full. It is a fantastic and unique experience that forces you to eat slower and enjoy the process. *They hada wonderful watermelon drink special as well that tasted like just pure fresh watermelon blended and strained perfectly, veryrefreshing. Homey exceeded my expectations. We lunched during the spring break of IU. Food came out rather quickly. The soup based was rich... and I got all of these for the hot pot only $25. I am so sad that I did not know about this place sooner or I would have came here when they opened 2 years ago. Great service,... nice comfortable atmosphere, and most importantly...great tasting quality food! This was my first time here so I will definitelycome back and be a regular. This place has exceeded my expectations. I did not expect it to be this good. A wide variety of foodoptions to choose from and generous portions. The price is not bad either. I got the all-you-can eat hot pot and sushi for21.99. I had a $1 coupon off so it was around $22. I would tell you what I ordered but I got so many food items, I forget! Lol Iasked our server how many options I could get for each category and he said "As many as you want" I knew at that moment it wasabout to be a wrap! They even gave my friend and I a VIP card for 5% off next visit since it was our first time. Be sure not towaste your food. There's a 8.99 lb food waste charge. But that wasn't a problem for us. We ate it all! I highly recommend thisplace to anyone. The price is good for what they serve you. As you can see from my pictures, there was a lot of food but morefood came on top of that. Wonderful food and delightful staff in a modern, beautiful dining room. The price is a little high but worth it. Unlimited good... quality sushi plus a personal pot of savory boiling soup to cook your own selection of unlimited meats, veggies, and noodles. Myfavorite was the giant sauce bar for you to make your own personalized dipping concoction. The vibe is much like the fonduejoints of yore. I love puttering and tweaking flavor combos, so this was a dream come true. They just kept bringing me big pilesof whatever I wanted, and all good quality ingredients. I had a blast. Favorite / best Hot Pot in Bloomington. Staff is so very helpful and explains everything needed to enjoy your meal. Their base... stocks/broths are so very delicious. Sauce bar offers opportunity to explore new and adventurous mixtures to go alongside yourown personal Hot Pot meal. I've been here four times and will keep coming back! Read more
