The food is great and I love that the patio is dog friendly. The portions of fries are tiny for the price. 18 dollars for a... small burger with barely any fries. My partner?s meal was the same. High price with tiny portions. Fries are not expensive,there is no reason to have such high prices and provide so little of a cheap item. Read more

Don?t get me wrong the food was great. But initially our greeting was hi, do you have a call ahead reservation? We said no and... we?re told 35-45 minute wait. That was ok with us considering the area, the game and the venue it?s self. We weren?t asked for aname or anything. Another hostess then asked us because we were giving her the menu back the first host gave us while we waitedif we?d like to be put on the waiting list then. Are we not already on it? What?s our name she asked. Told our name but said itwas never asked before. She sat us almost immediately. Our waiter was what we thought was gonna be great, personality wise butnot so much. Offered bread and didn?t bring it. We asked them for it and he brought a whole basket but poured one little platewith the oil and left. Thirty minutes later came back for our order. About a 15 minute wait for our first round of drinks. Wewatched people be sat and served well before we were even asked to order. Food came rather quickly, no shrimp on the salad,mashed potatoes were very dry and never once were we asked how everything was. It was good! But we paid a hefty bill for lessthen service, almost treated as if we didn?t belong. With these prices we?d expect a level of service that?s comparable andthat?s no where near what we received today. We researched where to eat and this was our final decision we?re not completelyunsatisfied just disappointed. Nice restaurant downtown in Bloomington. Place was busy on a Friday night but still able to be seated directly. Server,... Deztinee, was very attentive and good knowledge of the menu. Table bread was delicious and meal came out in good time. Steak wasgood and veggies were ok. Salmon was perfect but portion of fries and mac n cheese were small in comparison to the price point.Overall a very good meal. Be ready to leave a $100 lighter to go with your full stomach. Malibu grill is a great restaurant located in the heart or downtown Bloomington. They have a large variety of food so it?s a... good place to bring a group that is full of picky eaters. To start we got the spinach artichoke dip which was okay, not great. Igot the Mahi with pesto pasta and roasted tomatoes and it was excellent. The fish was cooked perfectly and paired very well withthe pesto pasta. For dessert we had a mudpie and cobbler which were both delicious. The mudpie is huge so make sure there areenough people to share (unless you?re feeling extra adventurous). Read more

I sat at the bar top and ordered an Old fashioned. It was actually one of the best I've ever had, sadly I only saw the bartender... that made it one time and then he disappeared. I had the ribeye, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The food was excellent andprepared perfectly! On the downside, there were like four people working in the bar but they hardly checked on me and there werelong waits between drinks. If the food had not been so good I probably wouldn't go back, so in this case the cooks saved theday. Read more

We had a large group and service was very slow. Food was good but my sauce on the side should have been warm but was ice cold.... Had to order my drink like 3 times as the waitstaff didn't know about the liquor I discovered at the bar, I should have justordered from the bartender. Read more
