Ok so I was skeptical... I have heard from a lot of people how good this pizza was and I was like "ok"... THEY WERE RIGHT! it is... so delicious!!! Decided to come and see whether or not this pizza lived up to the hype it gets throughout Bloomington. We got the lunch special... combo which was one slice of their special and a soda on the side. I decided to go basic and get a cheese slice (sorry lol). Theamount of cheese they put on it is insane! There?s always lots of crispy cheese hanging over the side of the pizza. The overalltaste of the slice is pretty good though the sauce kind of left a weird aftertaste. But overall, our visit was alright! Ourserver was also super friendly. Read more

Great spot, yummy pizza! Parking is a bit hard to come by so we assumed this place was packed but we?re sat right away in a... mostly empty restaurant Saturday at dinner time. It was SO GOOD. I got the summer garden pizza. Crust was thick and crunchy onthe ends which is just how I like it. They have build your own options for the more picky eaters. There were also wings andsalads if pizza isn?t your jam. Really cool vibe inside with all the colored glasswork everywhere and eclectic art/customergraffiti all over the walls. We enjoyed it! I love Mother Bear?s Pizza. Pizza, wing, Lasagna?. everything is so wonderful. My fav is deep dish pizza here. Very nice... atmosphere and comfortable service with good pizza. I enjoyed every part of my visit and I will be going back again :) it is thebest pizza place in the world. Read more
We were in town for the IU game and were told Mother Bears was a local favorite! We ordered the 'early bird special' which is a... 10" or 14" pizza, breadsticks or cheese bread, and a 2-liter. My husband wanted 10 wings as well. (We still don't understand whyit was almost $56!) The young lady who took our order was very kind and well informed. We ordered extra sauce on our pizza likealways, BUT she didn't tell us that it's like a Detroit style pizza. They did forget our ranch for the wings, but I called themand they happily brought us some to our hotel. The pizza however, was so heavily sauced we couldn't taste anything else. We hadto scrape off about 3/4 cup of sauce off the pizza. The cheese bread was good, but you only get about 6 little slices. The wingswere very good and the ranch was amazing! I highly recommend it, but ask about price per item, and if they put sauce on thebottom or top. We ordered the deep dish and the pizza has the sauce on top. Read more
Well Mark H. Owner. We came to this location from out of town because my daughter wanted to come here for her birthday. We... walk in the hostess was very rude. (I get the mask mandate) we really just forgot to wear our mask, you literally can go intoany place in town including the other Mother Bears location and not be asked to put on a mask)I mean anywhere in town. You arethe only place that enforcinging .....very strictly enforced here. We forgot. I never could understand walking 20 feet,sitting down and taking the mask off. We are all vaccinated including booster shots. It's the way she told us to get a mask on.Rude and very hateful. Then she walked 10 feet in front of us threw down menus and walked away didn't even say a word. (I'm noteven exaggerating) If she is your first person, customers see....your in trouble. Brian our server was good, food was good. Ihave been to the other location 20 times and only had 1 so so experience. First time here / bad first impression. Mark H owneryou need to talk to staff about how to talk to paying customers. You can enforce the mask mandate and be professional. This isyour money...happy customers buy more, come back.
