Did this for lunch, though I think the lunch menu was pretty much the same as the dinner menu (though there was a soup +... sandwich option). The food was good, but it's overpriced. $17 for Carbonara is fine, but for that price I should have a hugeplate of pasta, not be able to finish it all in a relatively short sitting. Also, don't go here if you're in a rush... not sureif they made the pasta fresh for us, but it took a while. Will be back, probably, but not for a while. Just for reference, TheElm also does Cacio Pepe... for $12, not $16. Read more

I have tried many different things here and they all have been good. You can taste the flavor not just salt. They have a great... variety so just about anyone can get something to please their palette. Little hard to find but definitely worth it. Chicken Marsala great flavor. I have been here multiple times and have had good service every time. Read more

Will forever go to Osteria for any Italian craving I have! The service and food have never disappointed. Finally got the chance... to take the husband and we had drinks either an appetizer. We had the Fire-roasted Tomato Vesta and it was amazing. Or as myhusband so eloquently put it, "This is incomparable". 10/10, highly recommend for authentic, genuine Italian cuisine Read more

I?ve been wanting to try this place out for a while and it exceeded my expectations! I thought I was going the boring route by... getting lasagna but it was the most unique delicious lasagna I?ve ever tasted! Our server Emelia was great and veryknowledgeable on the menu. Lunch was delicious! I had the Carbonara and it was yum! It was my first time having guanciale and I would repeat the... experience. We started with a traditional serving of focaccia and the bread was so soft and light. Our service was great - oneserver for the whole spot and she was handling her business! We felt very cared for. Definitely will return to try more pastas! Read more

This restaurant, in a former carriage house, retains the country charm with a brick wall and horse hitches. The space is small... and intimate, and I found it to be incredibly cozy. I ordered the veal, which comes rolled and covered in a light tomato sauce, with an enormous side of polenta. It was quite delicious. For dessert, I ordered the cannoli. You actually get two, onechocolate and one vanilla. It was a pretty substantial dessert and I was just thrilled to see cannoli, since it's rare to find. Read more

We went to Osteria Rago for lunch and it was fine. I had heard this was the best Italian in Bloomington and in my opinion it was... just okay. We started with the bread which was nice and warm. I had the ravioli which was good but there was a bit too muchsauce for me, it overpowered the pasta. The carbonara did not have much flavor. We also ordered the gelato and espresso dessertbut they did not have the normal flavor that came with it so it was a bit disappointing. I will try it again and get a dishother than the pasta to give it a second chance because the staff was nice and it is cute place inside. Read more
