As a new person to IU everyone talks about Soma so Ive gone 5 times to study or grab a snack (campus square) between classes.... Chai is boxed contrate, which is fine overall. My biggest issue is the lack of customer service. The baristas stand in a huddletalking to each other and seem annoyed the you are interrupting their day by ordering. Most have monotone voices andneutral/bored facial expressions...half the time they just stare at you without saying anything until you order, let alone makeconversation. Wifi has never worked. I asked and they said "limited to 1 hour then you have to buy something else"-10 min afterI ordered. I asked if there was a code, "Nope" and turmed away from me. Prices are steep but manageable. There was onemanager/owner who came out of the back to talk to an older woman about the brewing process and he was really nice. I visited Soma Coffee House this morning. I bought a banana colada smoothie. It tasted good, but I prefer the smoothies at Feta.... On the other hand, Feta is closed on Mondays, and Soma is open. And I can walk to Soma from home, but I have to drive to Feta. Read more

So the lattes here are pretty good. I came here everyday for months while working on my kitchen. But recently went and... unexpectedly the price for my latte was higher. I should know because I have signed a receipt here (including tip) dozens anddozens of times. When I bring it up, the cashier and manager say that the drink must have been ringed up wrong before.. what,consistently for months? Was rude, and sorta makes me feel stupid. I do some checking and the price was raised. Which is okay,inflation happens, sure, but be HONEST and upfront, don't lie. Left a bad taste in my mouth from this experience... Read more

I visit this location everytime I'm in Bloomington, IN. I enjoy their giant sugar cookies, cinnamon rolls, & drinks. This trip... I had the white chocolate zombie and the Frankenstein chai latte. Both were delicious & the service was excellent!!! Read more

Soma is one of my favorite cafe in Bloomington! They have multiple locations in town including one near Sample Gate. This... location is perfect for music school students who?s seeking some fresh after hours of practicing. The cafe doesn?t have seatsinside currently but has some outdoor seating. They also have a few parking spots available. If you?d like to try some specialflavor, don?t miss the Razz-Ma-Tazz (Rasberry +dark chocolate latte)!
