We had a great meal...Bloody Mary was fantastic, and daughter and I split the Snow Crab leg and Shrimp Cajun boil. So much food... and flavor. Probably could be split between 3 people, but she and I did some real damage to it! My only complaint was it tookquite awhile to get our water - which we asked for right away. Place is nice and full of memorabilia from the movie Forest Gump, so if you're a fan you would love this restaurant. I wouldn't... say food is awesome but it's very decent and portioned enough for its price. The server is very friendly and she asked couple oftrivia questions from the movie which is fun. Good food and amazing atmosphere, expected more flavor, considering it's cajan. Bloody Mary was just tomato juice, coleslaw... seemed fresh but no flavor. Anything commercialized is just disappointing and plain anymore and overpriced. I'm sure once upon atime they were great, but now just catering to the masses. The server was great but their process is different, when needsomething, anybody answers which is great but confusing because we had to wait to fix our ticket and the waiting for service waslonger than expected. Before our first visit at the Mall of America, I researched the restaurants that are within and found Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. The... food were delicious! We ordered calamari, fried chicken and gumbo. Everything were delicious and fresh. 4 stars because theywere not offering happy hours even though it was posted on the Website. Also, the gumbo bowl came with only one scoop of ricewhen the website clearly shows two. When I asked our server, he said that was before. I think when things change, it shouldalso be updated on the website because that's where people go to decide if they want to visit or not. It is misleading to offersomething when they're not being offered. Still, we liked the food and prices are decent. We will visit again in otherlocations locally. Read more
