These restaurants are notorious for the high turnover rate. They cannot seem to keep workers. Low pay and no benefits is what... I hear. As such, expect staffing related delays. The restaurant is decorated in black and white photos of the local history. Especially the old met stadium. Read more

My experience happened on a busy Saturday night. A deep dish pizza, hot hoagie, and cheesy bread were ordered. We arrived for a... take out order at the end of the time window they gave us for when our order would be ready. The online tracker stated that thefood was ready. The person at the counter said it would just be another 6 minutes. We waited another 15 before inquiring aboutour order again to which we were told that it would just be another minute. We ended up leaving with our food 20 minutes afterthe online tracker said it was ?ready for pickup? once home the pizza was only kinda warm, making us think that is had beensitting for a while. Also there were no spicy banana pepper add-ons on the hoagie that were paid for. Overall prettydisappointed with this visit. The deep dish pizza crust has the consistency of a typical garlic bread (light bread like) with toppings added. Definitely not a... Chicago-style deep-dish but that doesn't mean the pizza isn't good. Their traditional crust was more typical of what I wouldexpect from a pizza. The staff was great, the restaurant was clean but the food did take a little long to get to the tablebecause there was a large order before us. I'd say if you're in the area and you're looking for something different, considergiving it a try. I was there with a family of five and we ate for 40 bucks (two pizzas). Read more

We stopped in the other day for a late lunch/early dinner. We have been here many times...and...have had both wonderful... service...and...delicious food always. The restaurant was pretty quiet when we arrived. We ordered immediately...and...had ourfood in roughly fifteen minutes. Everything was made perfectly...as expected. The food tasted very fresh. My favorite item isthe veggie hoagie. The ingredients...topped with red sauce...and...cheese all blend so well together on the toasty bun. Theirpizza is also pretty yummy. The hand-tossed crust has a nice amount of chewiness to it without being doughy at all. The menuoffers a quality variety of pastas...hoagies...pizzas...appetizers...and...desserts. They do also have beer/wine service...witha small bar counter inside. In the back...is a rental room for parties/special events. It is decent-sized. Something Ipersonally love about Davanni's is: they have their own inhouse delivery drivers. I never use delivery apps so...when choosingwhen to order delivery from...this aspect is of importance to me. This is a great smaller family owned local chain that we willalways support...and...recommend. Read more

I haven't had Davannis in years. However in the last month my daughter and myself have been there twice. First time we ate... there on a Tuesday night. Fast service. Just last night we did pick up at 520 pm. It was really busy but we only had to waitabout 3 minutes. We will be back again soon. Read more
