One of the best open face meatloaf sandwiches I've had. The secret is to get the fries covered in gravy too! Absolute banger of... a meal. Read more

Okay, this was a tough one to rate. It was a cute diner with friendly employees. My biscuits & gravy were excellent. Loved... the gravy. I was given an option to not have onions & pepper in my home fries. So I said please no for neither. What I gotwas what looked like potatoes that had onions & peppers still in it but had a lot scraped off. It felt like a mistake that waspoorly fixed. The red potato home fries did taste good, though I had to pick through my food to get onion & peppers out. Thebathroom was clean. I had to ask twice for a fill-up on my coffee, though. So it was a good place to eat but felt likemistakes were made. Read more

Feel like the quality of the food has gone down a bit over the years but still a nice family restaurant with a wide variety and... affordable prices for families. Friendly and courteous wait staff. Gave 3 stars instead of 4 as my mom was unable to eat thegravy fries she ordered as a side - tasted like soapsuds in bottom of dish or something. Broccoli salad used to have more soakedin dressing and taste. I typically order their open faced turkey sandwich with gravy over fries. Atmosphere like typical olderdiner. Read more

Ended up in the Central Columbia area and stumbled across Morris Family Restaurant, and stopped in for lunch. I was... immediately reminded of the "non-chain" family style places that used to be very common back in the '70's and '80's. The staffwas very laid back and friendly, as one would expect in a place that likely relies on the "locals" for the bulk of theirbusiness. Morris's also has a catering business, and the food kind of had that feel to it...good, decent portions, but notsomething that I would say made it stand out from anywhere else in particular. The prices were quite reasonable, and they havea large selection on the menu...something for everyone. For someone or a family passing through looking for something more thanfast food without breaking the bank, it's definitely an option. Service was fairly quick too, so it was nice not having to waitlong for our food. My only reason for 4 stars is really because overall, the place could use a little updating and sprucing upa bit, but I do understand after the past few years with how things were with the pandemic, just staying in business matteredmost. Building needs a new face-lift. I ordered: western omelet ; it was the worst of worse, not taste wise ,but it lacked its major... preparation in the order. And the place is infested with flies. ( although one was such an annoying pester during my timethere.) Read more
