$3 for an Apple fritter with little to no filling and the taste isn?t as good as it was years ago. If your going to increase... prices don?t reduce the amount of filling. If you like Apple Fritters don?t waste your time, find a Dunkin Donuts and pay $2. Tome this place use to be the best donut place in the city. I will not eat here again. I came into the store today to look at your selection a little bit before noon. I said hello to 2 of the employees. I had heard... you had cream cheese pumpkin donuts, was going to buy some for my wife's birthday. I looked at them, and I would have boughtthem right then, but I had to pickup something else for my wife on time, and I didn't want the donuts to melt in my car becauseit's really hot outside today. I said to the employees behind the counter "thank you, I will be back soon to get some thesecream cheese pumpkin donuts." They did not respond to me at all. Next, I returned to the store a little bit after 12 noon. Theselection had completely changed. I had no idea why the donuts I just looked at and said I was going to buy were no longeravailable. A 3rd, different employee helped me and I bought some donuts but not the cream cheese pumpkin donuts that I had justcame into the store and asked about. I asked the 3rd employee what happened, why are those donuts not available now? I was justin here and told the other employees that I was going to return shortly to get those specific donuts. My main question is, whydidn't the 2 employees who were in there tell me that the selection was going to change and that the specific donuts I came inthere to buy would be taken off the shelves and be made unavailable? I spoke directly to them and said "thank you I will be backfor the cream cheese pumpkin donuts" and they did not respond or acknowledge me.... Shouldn't it be common courtesy/regularbusiness practice to say to a customer "sorry that product won't be available in a few minutes" so I wouldn't come back to buysomething that's not available? When the 3rd employee was helping me and I was at the counter paying, I mentioned all this toher, and I am certain the other employees heard me. I didn't get a response or a reason why this happened. The donuts here are amazing. We used to have one in Springfield Missouri and I remember it being very good. I forgot just how... good very good was. I got the original glazed donut and a sour cream old fashioned donut. The old fashioned was good but theoriginal glazed is probably hands down the best original glazed donut you can get anywhere. I usually judge glazed donuts byeither being melt in your mouth delicious or by having a firm texture with a little substance that gives a great mouth feel.Lamar's glazed donut does both as you bite into it the sweetness it melts in your mouth but yet you still feel like you hadsomething of substance remarkable. My son got their version of a Bavarian cream Long John it was so tender and filled with thesweetest Bavarian cream I think I've ever had I only had a bite wish I had more. If you ever see a LaMar's donut make sure tostop and try it I recommend all of their donuts but make sure to get an original glazed donut you will not be disappointed. Read more
Amazing donuts! Best glazed donut I've ever had. Soft and light, but still thick and filling. Amazing! All of the flavors looked... delicious. The cinnamon sugar, the chocolate coconut, chocolate sprinkles, and the Bavarian cream filed long John were allawesome. Can't wait to try all the flavors! Read more

These are the BEST donuts in the area! I don't stop here all the time but maybe once a month for a dozen donuts to take to work and share. The service is great and... the donuts are always fresh and amazing, many times better than other palaces, seriously! However, they keep driving prices upand up on a dozen donuts...they are donuts for heavens sake! You'll note if you go they have a ton of employees, appears theones that do the most work are the ones taking your order and filling the boxes, the other 3 ladies just standing around behindthe register at the other end of the counter though appear to just be collecting a check and not really essential to theprocess. Having to expand to other competitors for donuts for almost 1/2 the price, sure Lamar's donuts are good but yourmostly paying for the name. Fresh donuts elsewhere are also good. Read more
