Great breakfast. Definitely worth the stop. Biscuits speak for themselves.
The Blue Springs location has a little different menu. We went during the week, and even tho they were busy we didn't have to... wait. The waiter was great, got everything right. I had the spinach and mushroom omelet with Swiss cheese. Hubby had biscuitsand gravy, scramble eggs. It was all cooked perfectly. I had to take half of mine home. So good just a lot for me. We usuallygo to the one on 40 highway, that is good also. You can't go wrong with either one. Read more
Very busy on Sunday.. for a reason. Every one knows where the good food is. 25 min wait,we were seated after 15min. Food was hot... and yummy arrived fast. Friendly staff and very friendly atmosphere. (Older gentleman had a pile of mints for ppl leaving.) Allabout the biscuits and gravy. Read more
You need to be truly outstanding to get a 5 star rating from me. This place nearly got it. The food was outstanding. Our... waitress was fantastic. They're only slip was the delivery of our orders. It was brought out by staff members who didn't takeour order. Normally this wouldn't be an issue but those staff members did not use the cute/distinct names in the menu and we (atable of 7) had trouble figuring out who's breakfast was going where. Then, to add more confusion, we ended up with at least oneplate of food that we didn't order. Our apologies to whoever ordered the bacon & hashbrowns, but if it's any comfort, it wasvery tasty! ???? Overall, this was a very good experience and I would highly recommend The Big Biscuit to anyone passing throughthe area. Read more
Always great service and hot fresh food. Way to much food for one person but my Bulldogs love it when I get home.
The Big Biscuit has an old-fashioned diner atmosphere with truly hospitable staff. The food is not what I would consider... memorable, but rather just a mark above continental breakfast quality at a mid-range hotel. I ordered the Alamo breakfastburrito while my guest ordered the Jim's Platter. Granted I have only visited this location on one occasion, the overallexperience was quite underwhelming. Though the wait staff were very friendly and welcoming, the food truly fell short of themark and it is due to this fact that the rating of a 3 was given. One mark against the staff was that our waitress neverprocured the hot sauce that my guest requested, but rather came back with the check as if we had overstayed our welcome. Thewaitress' attitude in general was quite pleasant. I may indeed visit this location to try other menu items to see if myexperience was just a case of a momentary slip of food quality and/or standards. Read more
