Just a nice place to have a meal. Nothing fancy. Great price. Good food.
Won?t be visiting this restaurant again. They started vacuuming the restaurant with a very loud vaccum and our one year old... couldn?t pay attention to eating. I asked them to stop after several minutes. We continued to eat and a waitress came over toour table sweeping up underneath our one year olds chair before we were finished and when I said ?excuse me? because she wasawfully close she said ?no excuse me vacuuming would?ve taken two seconds? with an attitude. The rest of the time we were givenstares and an attitude. Not only that our food was rushed because we ended up with an undercooked omelet, and burnt toast. Iwasn?t asked if I wanted a refill either. Don?t listen to negative reviews. Owner on premises and I?ve been coming here for 40 years. Yeah the bathroom ain?t the greatest... and sometimes the waitresses are overworked and underpaid. The burgers are excellent and better than 5 guys or BJ?S and a lotcheaper. Fish dinners are ?under priced ? . $19.98 for 2 dinners with a salad, fries and soup . This is a budget priced jointwith some personality. Breakfast lunch and early dinner. Give it a shot, just tip the waitress. Read more
I love this restaurant, I've been going there for years. I just went to their other location out on Rt.193 (Belmont Avenue) fir... the first time in 20 yrs and their equally great. But the Market St location is my favorite restaurant in the Youngstown area. Ialmost always get their Country Fried Steak but when I went yesterday I ordered their Corn Beef Reuben Omelet, I never heard ofsuch a thing either and I thought it sounded a little weird so I ordered it lol, I've gotta tell you that this concoction wasamazing, who would have thought lol, I definitely recommend it. This restaurant is managed great by the owner who's a very niceguy, he talks to his customers and wants everyone to be happy with their experience there, they keep the restaurant sparklingclean and the servers a very friendly, yesterday our server was a young man who went over and beyond, I believe he mentionedthat he was either the owners nephew or son, I cant remember (that happens once you hit 50 yrs old lol), anyhow he was extremelypolite and friendly, you couldn't find a better server then he was. I just want to thank everyone at the Yankee Kitchen forpulling together and making such a great place for everyone to come and enjoy a fantastic meal. Thank you. Read more
