We have had a rough go with my daughter's allergies. The team at Mahana is ALWAYS accommodating and will even grill us a piece... of fresh chicken if we call ahead (my daughter is severely allergic to egg, dairy, soy and garlic). As a restaurant manager of15 years I am so incredibly thankful for what is pretty much our only option for eating out. Amended for the second time... Apparently, after my review stating that the owner was UNMASKED, the Manager, Jay, (She is THE... definition of a Manager by the way), discussed the situation with the owner, and ever since he has been wearing a mask! I am sohappy to report this as I really love this food! Her staff is excellent and she is on top of what is going on in thisestablishment, so I felt comfortable returning ????. I have to amend this review sadly. Yes it's true, BUT... I returned tonightfor dinner, only to find a man behind the counter dishing out the food NOT WEARING A MASK!!! I knew then I would not be orderinganything but had to ask who he was and why he was the only person unmasked. Turns out his name is Gary and he is the OWNER! Hesaid that there is no mask mandate and he chooses not to wear a mask. I said how can you do this around food especially with theraging VIRUS? He was not moved by my pleas. I told him that I would not be eating here anymore and that I would be posting areview but still he did not say he would be masked going forward. The best food I have eaten in a year since leaving Manhattanin NYC!!! But cannot likely eat here again. A healthy, clean, pure eating experience with personalized service tailored toindividual food requests! A tossed salad bar type of restaurant where you choose your base, your veggies and your protein. Allof the food looked amazing, but I need no salt, little oil, no spice and little protein and I was accommodated with a smile. I care for patients in the area daily and always eat at restaurants in the area. I had seen Mahana and it?s coming soon sign but... had been eating mainly at ?Olive U?. I happen to discover Boca Pho where I saw a Mahana employee eating lunch, which alerted methey had opened so I decided to check things out the next say. These are my thoughts on Mahana. Tuna, Chicken, steak, pork full of flavor. Everything on menu is gluten free, but the flavor and freshness of all of the... bases, veggies and proteins pop in your mouth. Been their 4 times in last week or so. Staff is extremely friendly. Can't sayenough about taste of their food and cleanliness of their establishment. Long wait for them to open up. Best New Healthy spot in Boca! Blown away by them having so many options, including the very unique coconut rice! Buffalo... Cauliflower is a favorite of mine and when I say they make it perfectly, it's an understatement! Their award winning sauces,fresh ahí Tuna option and cauliflower rice made me a Mahana Fresh member today so I can get points towards a meal????????Joannaeasily answered some of my questions and I felt very taken care of! Tried this spot on my lunch break. It?s about a 5-7 minute drive. I ordered at 11:45 and my take out was ready by the time I... arrived. The food was fresh and the prices reasonable. I tried the Big Mahana with Basmati Rice and Sesame Noodles. The noodlesare incredibly flavorful and required little to no dressing. The buffalo cauliflower and honey sriracha Brussel sprouts aredelicious. They are not smothered in the sauce which is perfect. There is flavor without it drowning out all of the otherflavors in the bowl. You can actually still taste the vegetable. The teriyaki and BBQ chicken are okay. Nothing special butflavorful. I tried the cilantro vinaigrette and the creamy wasabi sauces today. The vinaigrette is good but not a strongcilantro taste. The wasabi sauce is great. It has that true wasabi flavor without being overpowering like a bite of wasabi. Bothwere great on the bowl, but like I said earlier, I ate most of the bowl without because of the sesame noodle flavor. This is agood ?build you own? restaurant. Fresh and healthy options. The Big Mahana was definitely big enough for 2 meals for me but myboyfriend could have finished the whole bowl. Here is the... breakdown Location: great location, in the middle of many shops and other fine establishments. Plenty of parking, very safeplace. Ambiance: Beach themed, while walls, rope lights (absolutely gorgeous), washed out look tables, very relaxed atmosphere.Soft rock playing softly on the background. Cute little succulent plants to remind us the beauty of nature. Industrial ceilingpainted white. Gives you a great feeling of being in a board walk cafe. All the employees wearing masks leaves us with a securefeeling. Now comes food. We ordered 2 Big Mahana Bowl., breakdown of food items Cold sesame noodles: great choice, veryflavorful and noodles are nice and firm. ???? Coconut rice: it was warm but missing the promised coconut. ???? Ahi Tuna: CubedAhi Tuna was fresh, nice and firm., not spicy at all., I liked it ???? Costs extra $1.50. Grilled Steak: steak was well cooked,absolutely no flavor. Very bland. With a proper sauce, it will rock your pallet. This is at a extra cost of $1.50. Keywestchicken: very bland and dry. I had to leave half of it. ???? Buffalo Cauliflower : The best there Is! Perfectly steamed andtossed in Buffalo sauce, nice, corn and crisp. ???? We got Delivery here the other day, and I was pleasantly impressed. The portions were decent and the flavors mixed well... together. They have an array of veggies to make your bowls and many base meats or vegetarian options too. I love that they offerkids bowls, my only grip is that $9 is a bit too much for a kids portion, especially when kids meals usually run around 5-6bucks at the most in other places. Their sauces are amazing and tasty as well. I prefer it on the side as to decide how much touse, can overpower dish if you use too much. They did a Groupon offer this past month, and I grabbed that because I wouldreally Like to actually go into the the boca location and order directly!
