We had our wedding and reception at Matteo's of Boca Raton. Their staff took care of us like royalty. The food was... phenomenal. They took care of our every need. Went to dinner a week ago with my family. Sat outside and was looking forward to a nice evening. Instead it took forever to get... our meals. First the wrong meals were brought. They belonged to the table behind us, they came in after us. Then two of ourmeals came out and the other two meals did not show up for 15 minutes. The veal parm was overcooked and hard as a rock. I have been here before I was a yelper. And once again this place was packed like a can of sardines. Right of the bat things... moved real slow. I think it took 15 mins before someone even looked at us while waiting right in front of the desk. The guybehind the desk was rude and not nice to the clients. Did not crack a smile once to anyone. Probably the owner son!!! Afterabout 20 mins to sit we ordered and the waiting started again. It took 50 mins before we got some food. We complained and wewere offered free dessert. But of course when the bill came they charged us we had to refresh their memory. I ordered ChileanSea Bass. And it was good. Really good. Margarita style. Very big portion. Everything is big here and they suggest either shareor order half. The price is not cheap here and food is great. But their rating is not that good here and I think it's because ofthe service and how they treat customers. It cost us $200 with no booze and dessert on the house for 4 people. Busy. Definitely a scene. Great pasta. I recommend the short rib tortellini and linguini with clams. Veal chop Milanese on bone... was excellent too.
