By far the best pizza that I have had since I lived in Canarsie and visited Avenue L2 are famous pizza shop!
Cannot say enough good things about this restaurant- both the food and the staff. We recently hosted a birthday party here with... 40+ people and worked closely with Courtney to coordinate the event. From the beginning, Courtney was responsive and so easy towork with. The night of the event, the staff was so pleasant and accommodating to our guests and the food was delicious!!! Overall decent experience and staff was very responsive but the food was only a little better than mediocre. We started with... the meatball and antipasto appetizers. The meatballs were large and were pretty good but at $6 a piece they should befantastic. The menu description for the small antipasto is kind of misleading since it mentioned romaine lettuce, celery andgarbanzo beans but none were included. Before you order the small, read the description for the large antipasto since it isaccurate. The crostinis were not crisp, the bruschetta was not enjoyable and we did not know what to make of the caponata. This was definitely not what we expected for $16. For the main course we had the Truffle Risotto and Pollo Reggiano (chickenparm). Both the Risotto and the Pollo Reggiano were decent but nothing special. The Pollo does not include any pasta. Theplace was busy and we saw a lot of pizza so it may just have been that we ordered the wrong dishes. We may give it another shotbut we aren't in a hurry to return. Read more
Start off going to one restaurant and had to leave. So we saw this restaurant across the street and decided to try it. It?s a... chain restaurant. The food, the ambiance, the service and everything was just superb. They have tvs so you can watch the sportsgames and have a great night out with friends or family. Kid friendly as well. To start off Laura the hostess greeted us and wasso friendly and approachable. She made us feel warm entering the establishment. Marina was our server. Her service was greatlyappreciated. She suggested things for us to try and made sure we had everything we needed. Adrianna the bartender made drinks soperfect. They were so good. We had to tip her extra we were so impressed. Quality service and drinks from Adrianna. Richard themanager was great. He as well made us feel welcome, checked to make sure we were good which is always a plus when managers dothat. He?s very knowledgeable. Told us some history on the business. I would of thought he was the owner the way he took prideand showed his love for the business. He also recommended we try the wings and we weren?t disappointed at all. Everything wasdelicious. Just go eat here or have some drinks if you aren?t hungry. You won?t regret it! It was ok. The quality of the pizza was great! Fresh, good ingredients and well baked texture and presentation. The environment... was a bit sterile. Hard surfaces and dark colors made it feel cavernous but uninviting. The outside seating was a bit awkward.Some forgotten front patio up against the parking lot and perimeter tables were up against building and under a builtin halfawning and between weird sculptural walls. The tables can be better placed to be comfortable and confident. The service wasrobotic and a bit misleading. They tried to overcharge us instead of guiding us to order in the best way possible so?. ask allthe questions you like and be as specific as possible. A few friends and I work around the corner from Sicilian Oven and recently added it into our lunch rotation. Takeout pickups are... always quick and ready on time and the food is just great. Love the wood fire oven taste on the pizzas and especially theChicken Parm sandwich which is one of the best I?ve ever had. The bread is something special, and it?s just a clean, lightsandwich that has the right amount of everything without making a mess. Wish we thought to start ordering from here sooner, butcan?t wait to try more things from the menu and enjoy some stellar Italian food a couple times a week from now on. Read more
