The food was excellent at Tap 42. Although it was a bar it wasn't too noisy when we got there, but when we left it was getting... very crowded. They have 42 kinds of craft beer on tap if you like beer, which I do not. They had the best calamari I have everhad. I would go back again for sure. Read more

Food was pretty good, ambience was upbeat the attention was just ok.... maybe they were short staffed that day but after sitting... down we waited at least 15 minutes before anyone came over and then another 10 minutes just to get some water on the table. Rarely give out 2-star reviews but was quite disappointed with Tap 42. Came out for dinner on Father’s Day and had high... expectations coming here. First impression was good. Nice decor and vibe. Loved the bar and decided to sit there. 1st waitertook our drink orders and it came out fast. From there it went downhill. No one came to took our food order. Had to ask someoneto find our bartender to place orders. After some time, the bartender came and took our Calamari appetizer. That came out nicelyand it was delicious. Then we had a gap of maybe more than 30 minutes with no service. No one dropped by to ask us if we wereready to place orders and more drinks. Obviously we wanted drinks as our glasses were dried. Gave up and decided to call for thecheck by asking the reception to find someone that can get our bill. And it wasn’t like that the place was a full house. Therewere only 3 groups sitting at the bar. Our bartender came out asking if we wanted anything else and I told her of the wait. Sheacted like she didn’t care or tried to explain. Luckily I called the manager and he came over to take our complaint. He wasamazing and understood our issue. Even took the calamari off the bill as a complimentary. Would have loved to stayed for moredrinks and try out the ribs. Decided to walk across and have tacos for dinner instead. Well, if you experience the same thing,tacos can be your backup plans. Nice crowd for a rainy Wednesday night. Basic gastropub food, nothing fancy but good. I had the Shrimp Mac & Cheese which was... good but a little too cheesy. My cousin had the burger which he mentioned was juicy and delicious... Each had a beer or 2, funnight of catching up. Read more
