We went and there was a wait as usual. Was told the pizza oven was having issues and wouldn't be fixed till it cooled down and... done in morning. They explained they were doing there best. The best they did and all staff had big smiles as they workedthrough it. The meal was great and our young lady host was fabulous. We'll be back!! Three of us ate here today after playing pickleball at the city park. The food was great. Ate here again yesterday 7/11/2022. I... had the pulled pork sandwich with jalepeno mac-n-cheese on it and a side of thick fries. Also had a pitcher of margaritas. Allwere delicious. Read more
We love to support local small businesses, and our family loves the food here, but the service seems to get worse as time goes... on. Today's to go order was just one more mediocre experience. We pulled up to the curbside spots and text the number like weare supposed to. After waiting 10 minutes I went inside to ask if it was ready, and the order was already sitting there. A guywalked up and asked, "Can I help you?" I explained that we had text that we were there, but nobody had come to the car forpayment or to give us a status update. He said he would check. I watched him go look in the boxes that were waiting and he cameback with the food and the bill. I gave him payment and took the food to the car. Well I should have looked in the boxes myself.We got home and the pizza roll is dried out and over cooked, and it turns out they forgot the extra sauces we paid for.Hopefully I can write a good review in the near future, but only time will tell. We came on a Sunday- beautiful day- sat outside in their enclosed patio so it was ok. We were blocked from the wind. There is... another outdoor area just beyond the enclosed space that has 6 maybe 7 picnic tables - that area is completely outside and it isalso enclosed with a 4? fence, and it has a play scape in it which makes it perfect for outdoor family dining! Hubby liked theseasonal beer he got, I had a mimosa but it was mostly oj, so I wasn?t thrilled. The calamari was not good, to me. The breading,although light, heavily seasoned. I should say that my favorite fried calamari is served at the Lincoln Heights Paisano?s. Justfor comparison. The pizza, which is why we came, and I stress, in my opinion, bland. We ordered the ?Big One? without peppersbecause hubby can?t have them and that may have been the reason. Full disclosure. The crust was thin and tasted ok & all theingredients were ok and Hubby thought it was ok but I luv pizza, and believe it is the sun of all its parts and for me, just ok,with all the hype from Elder East?s, just fell short. By comparison, my fav pizza is true Neapolitan pizza which, GW, I?ll haveagain this May! We won?t be back but it?s a top rated place so I?m sure there are many more who think this place is tops. Therewere several large parties and families enjoying the day and the food today and again full disclosure, there are two majorfootball games on - so? there was that. I always have a good experience here. Kids have fun and we get good food. The crew is always nice and friendly. Been going here... quite a few times this fall. It helps that they have a nice play area for kids. The prices are reasonable and the food is great.Seating can sometimes be hard but we never have ran into issue. If you enjoy pizza &, drinks. I?ve had a chance to go to this location twice. Both times the pizzas were exceptional! And both times the people were... exceptional. The first person worthy of mention is an young lady named Lauren. Because of her ( and a great pizza) I returnedand had the pleasure of having Dillion wait on me. Food was pretty good. Staff was helpful and provided good service- frequently came to check on our table. The restaurant was... clean and well ordered. Food came out in a timely manner. Bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Overall a great experience andwould recommend! They even have a playground/patio area with lights which was really cute to see :D Read more
