We had dinner there on Saturday evening. Atmosphere is lovely. Food was delicious. We had beef wellington and a steak.... Delicious French fries. Service was lacking. After being served our meals, server never returned. We wanted a second drink andwas hoping for dessert. Nothing. Saw similar non-attention at other tables. Management should be attentive to lack ofservice. Recommend this restaurant, but not on a Saturday. Read more

Excellent experience, first class dining on boiling springs. Prices go with the atmosphere, so be prepared to spend like 25 a... plate average. Server was super nice and friendly. Food came out relatively quickly for a large party of 12. I'd say all in allwe spent 2 hours there. This is a dress nice place so keep that in mind as well. Enjoy! Read more

I'd leave no stars, if possible. The food was ok (we had reservations for the brunch service), but I experienced the WORST... service I have EVER had in my life. It was as if our server was going out of his way to NOT attend to us. It took just over anhour to even get our food (during which time we had to keep asking other servers for refills of water since ours didn't check inonce). We had ordered a pastry platter to start, and when expo brought it out 20 minutes later (no cooking needed so not surewhy it took so long), no plates were given for us to eat off of. Completely out of water again, we finally said something toanother employee, apologizing for having to ask them if they could refill our water since it wasn't their job (and maybe bringmy wife the drink she ordered 30 minutes prior). She told our server, who came over to drop off the ordered drink and refill thewater... never apologizing or anything like that, simply asking "anything else you need?". In the 2 hours we were there, we sawhim when he first came to the table, 15 minutes later when he took our order... the time he came up because the expo employeetold him to, and then to give us our check. For as "fancy" and "upscale" as this place wants to be, they certainly need a betterclass of server. If you are going to hire "kids", at least train them in how provide first in class service. That experienceabsolutely ruined the date with my wife, one of the last we'll have before she gives birth. We were so excited to check The Barnout; so much so we were even planning on coming back for a dinner service as our first date after she gives birth. The restaurant we were going to go to closed early. So my wife & I decided to check out The Barn at Allenberry. I am so glad we... did. Our waitress Brianna was fantastic! I had the greatest chicken sandwich EVER with a side of risotto. My wife had thecoconut shrimp tacos and brussels sprouts. The prices were reasonable and the food was superb. Afterwords we walked the groundsof Allenberry (~9-10 pm) which was a great adventure in itself. A wedding reception was in full swing. They just completed thewisteria outdoor patio project and preparing for an after party. Jeremy showed us around and Lenny joined us… If we weren’talready married we would have our wedding there. We had reservations for 2 and were seated straight away. Our server was at our table quickly with water and asked if we wanted... anything else to drink. We ordered an appetizer and were unimpressed. The pork was especially tough and was over powered withthe sauce. Our main courses were both underwhelming too. My NY Strip was slightly overcooked and also was drenched in saucewhich hid the fact that the steak wasn't of the highest quality. Each of us were billed $51 after everything. Overall notimpressed with the food. The grounds are well kept and I'm sure would work great for a wedding or business event. It is abeautiful property! Read more

Many thanks to the staff at the Allenberry, the Barn. We had an amazing experience. The bartender was great, stellar customer... service. Theresa showed an amazing amount of hospitality to us and our family for the celebration of my parent's 50th weddinganniversary. Margaret offered service beyond our expectations. She was quick to respond, knowledgeable and very friendly, arare find for servers theses days! My wife and I appreciate the bartender, Theresa and Maragret so much.
