Don't be fooled by the high ratings; most of the people who go to this Baton Rouge are limited in options due to location. I, on... the other hand have lived and dined in Montreal for many years. I have been to this particular location three times, and allthree sucked. Let's start with the appetizer: the calamari came greased up on a bed of lettuce, no garnishing whatsoever, andvery small portion for the cost. The main dish: seafood linguini was terrible. The sauce was liquidy so it didn't stick to thelinguini; they burnt the scallops and onions (see picture), and inadequately seasoned. Also small portioned. The dessert: cremebrulee, more like curdled brulee. It looked appetizing, until I cracked it open. It was cold, textured, absolutely disgusting.You can tell it was recently brought out of the freezer. Baton rouge is one of my favorite restaurants but this location doesnot do it justice. The 2 stars are for the kind staff. I will never spend my hard earned cash here. Go to the one in carrefourLaval, which is much better. Read more

My experience at Baton Rouge is usually pretty good. Today the restaurant was fairly empty and service was extremely slow. Our... food came and as my wife was eating her Cesar salad, she found a piece of brown paper town from the kitchen. Instantly losingher appetite! We advised the waiter, and said since it?s a side dish they cant do any or remove it off the bill. They can makeanother salad or offer desert. Mind you we are 6 people so it?s a decent size bill. This location is very nicely decorated inside and for the summer, the terrace is the ideal spot. We stayed on the terrace and... had the spinach dip, crispy shrimps and beef bites as appetizers. They were delicious. As for the main course we had the primerib sandwiches, seafood linguini and the halloumi gnocci. Everything was good and for the seafood lovers I recomend thelinguini. We had a table reserved, and the front pointed me directly to the table. Our wait staff was excellent and exchanged our menus... for English upon request. The apps were very yummy, most of the table chose calamari. We did not have to wait long for food. Forthe main course a friend recommended baked potato all dressed as a side, and it was delicious. I have been to this Bâton Rouge several times and it is probably my favourite BR restaurant so far. It?s been consistent every... time and the food portions and dishes are always very good. Something you should expect from this restaurant. The most recentvisit was the week of restaurants reopening and it was simply delicious. I didn?t feel rushed like in other Bâton Rougeestablishments where they practically kick you out. I want to let the team know that Camille who was working Friday June 26, ispossibly the nicest waitress I?ve had in a long time. A classic restaurant that never disappoints. I love Baton Rouge and the delicious entrées and meals. We had the fantastic... crispy shrimp, General Tao Salad, and Linguine with sea food.
