We had a party of 20 on a saturday night. It was my hubby and I anniversary so we decided after meeting to go here. We called... ahead the GM you could tell she loves her job! She was very polite and upbeat gave customer service that we have been missingfrom alot of places. They took great care of us the food was hot and we have made some great memories! Terrible customer service!!! We ordered cinnamon swirls with the frosting dipping sauce. They gave us the Asian vinaigrette... salad dressing. When we called to have the order corrected, this is what we got told. The person claiming to be a manager namedHollis said. " Sorry were not perfect, I'll talk to the cooked". Hollis refused correct the order even after acknowledging thecook made a mistake with the sauces. I can't believe that Applebee's wants to be represented by someone who talks customers likeHollis. The food really wasn't great. We ordered loaded waffle fries and my husband said they tasted like they were old. My artichoke... dip had a film on it. We couldn't bring it to the waitress' strength because although she was very nice, she never once checkedto see how things were. Our salads came out before our apps. My steak wasn't exactly medium but close enough and it tasted good.The potatoes seemed to be microwaved and they tasted alright. The meal was ok and although the waitress was very nice and didrefill my husband's water once when it got low, she never once checked on how our meals were. I used to love this restaurant. The last time I went, the server got my order wrong. After it was sent back, I got the right... order but the chicken was raw. I showed the server and then told her I was leaving. I wrote Applebee's and they were quick torespond and show their concern. I was impressed with their desire to correct things in their procedures and apologize to me. Iam hesitant right now to go back, but I know I will at some point. Usually their food is fantastic. The quality of their food was ok, but the picture of their food in their menu was different from the food. For my order I... expected lots of large shrimps, based ok menu picture, but it only had couple of small ones. The overall taste was ok. Theirwaiters were kind, but not really good at what their are doing. Their service was not really good, they forgot 3 foods of ourtable and they did not even apologize. Read more
My family and I ordered Applebee?s tonight for dinner. We paid extra to have it delivered. One of the items that we ordered was... the Neighborhood Nachos Beef appetizer. These nachos were supposed to come with ground beef, a melted shredded cheese blend,queso blanco, pico, guacamole, sour cream, and fresh jalapeños. I requested the jalapeños, pico and guacamole be left off.When the food arrived, the nachos were an ABSOLUTE joke. I didn?t receive a nacho platter, I received a small tray of PLAINtortilla chips with a few pieces of burnt ground beef. NO shredded cheese, NO queso blanco, NOTHING. To send this out to apaying customer is honestly embarrassing. When I called the Applebee?s location (West Emerald in Boise) I explained thesituation to the hostess that answered and she was very friendly and understanding. She said she would transfer me to themanager to get the issue fixed. The manager on duty, Rick, was extremely rude and didn?t even try to pretend that he cared tofix it. His customer service skills were non existent. He told me that in order to get a replacement platter, we would have tocome pick it up even though we paid extra for it to be delivered. He said the only other option would be to get a $15 gift cardto their location and that it would be sent to my email in a few days instead of just giving us a refund. 10/10 do NOT recommendordering from here. They did a great job serving our group of 32 people. The waiters were really friendly and did a great job.
We took our girls here on a Saturday evening , we got seated very quickly which they had a moderate flow of people so it wasn't... too busy for the amount of staff. So we waited 15 mins till our 2 entries, chips and dip/ pretzels came out, which we did enjoybut we ordered the 2 simple pasta dishes for the girls which came 20 mins afterwards but the downside of our time there was thatwe also ordered one steak and one chicken w/shrimp dinner which 15 mins. later still never came out until the waitress came upto our table and asked "what else could I get for" I said very nicely,. Yeah if we could have the steak and chicken that weordered.she was shocked and asked again which 2 they were and then went to check on them , now mind you the girls were almostfinished, and also been waiting on drink refills. She came back to tell us that they weren't placed in the computer and thenalready forgot what we wanted to place it again, so the manager also asked and was confused about one of the orders on the nameof it as if my spouse didn't tell them it was called a G4 ...... pretty simple I'd think But whatever, so 10 mins of that theyfinally realized that the G4 was an actual dish on the menu. We waited an additional 10-15 mins till the food came out which weended up asking to be put in to-go boxes., We got the bill which was a total of $135.00 and was surprised that they didn't evenoffer a discount of any sort, not even a free dessert or etc. So we really didn't leave a tip, and tip generously even more sowhen they are great but I was hungry and disappointed in the Way it all came down.
