It’s SO expensive. Most everything is $18-$20, even for a simple meal. The food had almost no flavor. My Chile relleno was... tiny, most of the plate was beans. The service was not good. Just all around not worth the trip. Read more

If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food, this isn’t the restaurant for you. The food was either flavorless or had too... much of one seasoning—black pepper. The one thing that was great was the fast service, I think we ordered our food and within5 mins the food was delivered which leads me to believe it might’ve been heated and pre made (not fresh). My husband had atamale and burrito, my daughter had the mini corn dogs which were served burnt and too hot to eat. I had the shrimp cevichewhich appeared to be salsa and a shrimp mix, with tons of black pepper. The waitress asked me if I didn’t like it and Iexplained to her (in Spanish) what was wrong and it had way too much black pepper I couldn’t eat it. She offered me somethingelse and was apologetic. I let her know I appreciated her trying to make it right, but no thank you. I would not recommend thisplace especially if you’re looking for real fresh food with an authentic Mexican flavor. I always enjoy their michelada and some enchiladas! Jalapeños does a great job but they need some more staffing and also the... prices a little high. Other than that everything was perfect! Read more
BEWARE... I was in the restaurant business for many years so there are a lot of things I will look beyond and give a pass on,... for example on this visit our server did forget a few things but it's understandable because she was busy. HOWEVER you shouldn'thave to ask prior to ordering if the menus are correct, and when you get your check and you show the discrepancy they shouldhonor what the menu says without question. When the kids menu says meals are served with drinks and then you get charged $3 eachfor them and show the server the kids menu, they should honor that vs saying sorry it's probably not up to date. When the kidsmenu says the kids meals are $5.99 and you are charged $6.99 on your check they should honor the price in the menu instead ofsaying sorry it's not up to date. We also noticed that the menu says chips salsa and beans are complimentary however when weasked for the beans they said they weren't complimentary anymore. Guests absolutely don't mind paying for what they order butthey don't like surprises and being nickel and dimed for something that wasn't disclosed ahead of time either in the menu or bythe server or staff member. The saying "Underpromise and Overdeliver" goes very far in the restaurant business, "Bait andSwitch" does not. Food was good. Staff was nice overall. Read more
Jalapeno's is simply amazing! They have unique menu items. For example the Mexicana Fajitas (pictured) have steak, chicken,... shrimp, and chorizo. It was DELICIOUS! The flautas, also pictured, had a creamy queso sauce on them that was to die for! Theatmosphere is excellent! Very clean! The staff were very pleasant and checked on us numerous times. The owner's are wonderful!They go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is enjoyable! Jalapeno's is one of our favorite places to dine! Read more
Horrible food. Don't really recommend this place at all. The Nampa location had better food and service. When I say horrible... food I mean HORRIBLE food. I had Cali burrito with rice and beans. My burrito was literally just a few small pieces of chickenand a whole lot of store bought iceberg salad mix! Friend ordered fish tacos (disgusting) and nachos were just microwaved.Chapala is way better. Or atleast go to NAMPA location. They served me a warm coke as well.
