Pita pit is in a sad state. I was there this week and there was a pile of phones and backpacks and clothes on one of the prep... areas behind the register, there were flies on the food where they make the pitas. The sauce bottles were filthy looking, thegrill had a half inch of black grime on it. The floor was sticky, the drink station was trashed, there were zero clean tables(no one else in there) Pita pit really use to be a staple in Boise. It's probably the grossest looking restaurant in the cityon the inside. Employees don't care because they pay trash wages, which makes the quality of everything suffer, then peopledon't want to come in and spend money because nobody cares, then there's no money to pay better wages.. It's an unfortunatecycle that they are in. They either need to make some drastic changes or shut it down. It's an embarrassment to the city,especially so close to BSU. Read more

Was grossed out by the large number of flies swarming the inside of the store. I was so excited when the employee told me it was... a 30 minute wait, good cover for leaving since I was ready to sprint outta there. I don't write reviews - I think I have only written one before when asked - but it seems reasonable to warn people that this... restaurant was not sanitary. The 2 kids running the place were nice but appeared to have no training and the condition of thestore was disgusting. There were boxes of food sitting out around the restaurant, they appeared to be things that need to be ina refridgerated and had been sitting out for a while. The first time I came here a couple months ago, it was awful. The place was a complete disaster, it was very dirty like the... place hadn't been cleaned in months. The service was really not all that great. When I walked in the door, there was a mansetting at the table watching TV, and a woman setting on a stool behind the counter playing on her phone, neither one of themgreated me. I looked the menu over and decided on a chicken build your own, and OMG when I got down to the build station, Idecided to pretty much make it a Caesar. Because the food containers looked like they hadn't been changed for months either. Andthe romaine needed to be filled So I went with that. Well they cooked it to fast, then slopped it together. I was very un happyit cost $9.00 and was under cooked and nasty. For that 0 star. Last month a co-worker talked me in to going again. Well thistime, I was greated by Kyle he was very friendly and made a very good meal. He cooked the meet and his build table looked slotbetter. A few things needed changed though. The store was still nasty looked the same as before. So for this 2.5 star. Then acouple weeks ago I decided to give it another try, and to my surprise there was a new lady and she was cleaning when I came inshe asked how I was doing and then took my order. She took her time and cooked the meat the right way, moved the meat over. Andwow the build table was super clean everything was fresh and clean. She did the veggies and then went back to the grill and mypita was amazing very good. Then she told me have a wonderful day thanks for doing in and she hopes I enjoy my meal. For her andthe clean build table get a 5 star. The store cleanness gets a 1 star. Last week I came back she was working again but thistime with her daughter. Well they both went above and beyond, the food, and service were absolutely amazing. They were bothcleaning when I got there, the store is starting to get cleaner. I wish I could put a zero. Nine dollars and 13 minutes of my time for a half cooked Gyro, no receipt, and a ridiculous amount of... attitude. As an added bonus, a non-employee wearing pajamas was also cooking food at the grill. The third guy- maybe don?t letyour coworkers be idiots? Never ever go here during the daytime. Just? wow. Just grabbed a pita at the pit. That must have been the driest thing I've ever eaten, and I have eaten MREs and prison food. It... had zero of the sauce that the Baja chicken bacon pita was supposed to have, next to zero cheese, and no avocado whatsoever. All there was only about a ounce and a half of dried out chicken, a couple stripes of bacon, greens and some onion. The onlygood thing was the smoothy which didn't survive the trip more then a mile back to the house. That thing was crazy good. But thepita was a very sad disappointment. Just looked at the menu vs. My receipt. Just realized that not only did they over charge mefor the pita, they even charged me 99 cents for the avocado that was one supposed to be included and two I never got. Read more
