We've heard good things about this place and had wanted to check it out for awhile. I will say we were a little disappointed. We... ordered breakfast and everything was overcooked, not ruined though. Nothing had much of a flavor which was odd to us. Thesausage gravy tasted a bit sweet which was also a bit odd. My omelette had no cheese in it and my husband's breakfast scramblehad 1 slice of American cheese on top. It look sad and pathetic. I'm not saying it was good or bad. We were both justindifferent to our meals. I would give it a try for lunch/dinner. Read more

Wonderful first expierence at Canal Street Diner. Food was amazing! Staff delightful! Serve breakfast all day. Homemade corned... beef hash, they made it into an omelet then had french toast with homemade strawberry topping for a small up-charge from regulartoast. Toast is homemade also. We were so full when we left that my husband asked if they could wheelbarrow us to our car. Willbe back soon!! Read more
Food was delicious! Server was awesome, I think her name was Regina. Prices were great. My dad got a gyro with feta and Parmesan... fries. I got the canal crispers with homemade chips and green beans, all of it was delicious. I got a chocolate waffle cone fordessert and my dad got a slice of peanut butter pie.
