I did not realize there were so many Chuck’s Roadhouse locations around the GTA! Our closest spot was a 30 min drive into the... outskirts of Bolton. This bar & grill is quite spacious, anchored by a motorbike parked inside the entrance. We came to try theplatters of 7oz top sirloin & lobster tail. It was served with grilled corn & fries. The steak was slightly firmer than mediumrare, and the spice rub didn’t stand out. The lobster tail was quite small from perhaps a canner lobster. It’s fair valuefor the price although we’ll pass next time unless nearby. We also tried the French onion soup, which was topped by a healthylayer of melted cheese. The soup itself was quite salty. First time trying a Chucks Roadhouse and it was a pleasant experience. Definitely recommend coming for the half-price apps after... 9pm. Even though we got a bunch of half priced apps we also ordered a steak meal because the prices were very appealing. For theprice the food is to standard, it is definitely not The Keg but a great choice to satisfy a steak craving, and service wasfriendly. Ended up taking home lots of food to enjoy while watching late-night shows. I know they are a chain but I have neverheard of Chucks until now, will definitely come again hopefully to order all the apps and watch a game . Read more
Food is adequate, nothing above what you would expect if you don’t eat meat. The bar staff are decent but when the place has... more than a dozen table taken, prepare to wait a long while for the staff to pay attention to ya. Bar TVs are really good forwatching a game though so that’s worth coming for. Honestly a beer and a game is the best you can expect here but don’texpect much more. Literally one beer and one game. Solid 3.5 star. Great value for the price. My New York steak was perfectly done. However my friend's peppercorn New York was not... cooked evenly, some parts were dry and there should be more sauce on the plate. Nice atmosphere with music and sports screensall over. Good food! We went after 9pm and got half priced apps. We got nachos and wings along with a full rack of ribs. Cactus juice was... great. Cool blue was truly disgusting and I regret getting it over the cactus juice. The ribs were fantastic and I'd go back formore! Read more
Visiting Chuck's Roadhouse with a group of friends this evening was disappointing to say the least. We were sort of greeted by... an unamused hostess that showed us to a seat at around 4:30 pm in the afternoon. Our server was very cold and I especially feltsingled out right from the start. While reading the menus, my friend inquired about food choices. Once they finished conversing,I asked the server if there were any Wednesday food specials. The server was very displeased with my question and replied, "IJUST said, today is ribs day, DEAR," in a rather condescending fashion. I apologized for not listening in on their conversationand laughed it off. Throughout our entire dinner service, the server did not take the initiative to check up on us a singletime. On more than one occasion, we needed to ask other staff members to ask if she could come over. While I was paying, myGoogle Pay did not go through on the first attempt. I asked if they accepted tap, to which she responded "yes, but your cardISN'T EVEN THERE?". I asked whether or not I could use Google Pay and she responded with a deep sigh followed by an impatient"no". Upon begrudgingly resetting the machine, my Google Pay went through fine. I could not help but feel singled out for noparticular reason. Choosing Chuck's was clearly a mistake that tarnished an otherwise wonderful evening. I am not sure what Idid to be treated in this manner. Every "thank you" was ignored and every question answered in a condescending tone. In allhonesty, I don't think I have ever left a restaurant feeling so uneasy. I did end up speaking to the manager upon leaving therestaurant. He was very understanding and offered to make it worth our while to come back. I would not come back if he paid meto. Read more
