Driving around looking for new places to drone, Pelicans to photographed when my buddy Bob said, "hey, let's eat at Tin Top". ... Well, I said, "ok"! And that is all she wrote. Roadside local eatery and pour kind of local place enriched with southern charmand Alabaman hospitality. I ordered the tin Top Oysters with a cup of seafood gumbo. My buddy Bobby ordered a cup of seafoodgumbo and a shrimp Po boy from the most awesomeness Marla whom delivered me drag cup of Joe. Does not get any better than this. The appetizers were AMAZING! Oysters and sautéed crab were sooo good (my son said 6 or 7 stars). I was a little disappointed at... the length of the wait. The shrimp and grits were pretty good but a bit heavy and too much jalapeño in it. The pecan crustedtriggerfish was okay. The collards were good but on the sweeter side. Kids said the fried platter wasn?t all that good. I wouldgo back, but would order way differently - focus on the oysters, crab, and shrimp and add on salads or a few sides. Read more

The food and the experience was great. We had to wait a long time because they were super packed, but the food was worth the... wait. The prices are a little steep, but you do get a lot of food. I had the pork chop which is something I don't eat, but whenI read it on the menu, it sound mouth watering and it sure was. It was better than I had anticipated. Sometimes you get the best advice from the people who live in the town you are visiting. For us, it was the guide from our... kayaking adventure who told us to check out the Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar. I am so glad we took his advice. We shared aBaked Oyster Sampler that tasted like heaven on the half shell. The Seared Tuna Steak was pristine pink, tender and fresh,melting in my mouth with a silky smooth wasabi sauce on the side. And be sure to stay for desert. The Key Lime Pie had justenough tartness to delight the palette, and the White Chocolate Bread Pudding was rich and delicious. We came to Orange Beach for vacation and we found this place looking for a church that we attended that morning and it looked... packed so we knew we had to try. It is so worth the 25 minute drive from the beach. The food and service were excellent. Betterthan any of the other food we've had on the main strip on the beach. Love this place! We went during prime dinner time so we did wait but it wasn?t long. Our server was a delight and took care of... us well while being very busy. The food never disappoints and is always as good as the first time you tried it. Read more

The dining experience was fantastic, but there is a wait and the service was on the slower side. However, this is true of all... restaurants in the area as there has been a labor shortage since COVID so I still consider it a 5-star experience. I recommendthe Ribeye steak, it's juicy and flavorful. The stuffed mushroom appetizer is filled with the most delicious seafood stuffingI've ever had. Do yourself a favor and order the large portion! The fried okra was golden and fried crispy, just like I like it.The creme brulee is always a home run. Today we went for the chocolate raspberry one instead of the traditional and really likedthe twist of flavors. Our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly, but he seemed a little overwhelmed as he was fairly new.We would definitely sit in his section again though. The restaurant was recommended by a local customer! The FOOD was delicious! Our server was friendly, courteous and provided an... excellent service! We stayed in Orange Beach, but the drive was ALL worth it! The dessert ?Traditional Bread Pudding? was SUPERdeliciously. The only recommendation is Corn Bread.
