Ordered regular fish for me and my wife and the fish tasted old and tuff we both spit out the first bite. Fries and okra was the... same like it was cooked in really old grease. Got our kids chicken kids baskets and all 3 kids didn't eat more then a couplebites saying it tasted nasty. Figured it was getting cooked fresh with how long we sat in line but definitely not. folks were very nice but the food was under cooked. wife had the #6 order a simple chicken basket with okra and fries all were... soggy and sure not worth the 12 bucks only the root beer was good .. This was our first time eating at Captain D's, and it was a great experience. PROS: There were only 3 people on staff, But they... were exceedingly helpful and helped us decide on our meals. These are probably some of the most friendly, and proffessionalyoung adults we've seen in a long time. The jalapeno poppers were awesome, the battered fish was good, as was the salmon andbaked potato. CONS: the only real downsides were the corn on the cob (kind of hard to not overcook corn on the cob, in a fastfood restaurant) - it was mushy. The hush puppies were OK and the chicken tenders were dry (which one of the cooks noticed, andreplaced, without us even mentioning it). Secondly, the men's restroom was out of order and the remaining ladies restroom was abit dirty (no hand towels in the dispenser, just a roll placed on the back of the toilet!) OVERALL : Most of the food was goodand we can steer clear of what we didn't prefer. In the end, it was the friendly, and professional, staff that makes this astand out place. Well done! Read more
What an amazing place!! The food was hot and fresh. Service was top notched and perfect. We tried the key lime pie and funnel... cake sticks and the cheese cake. All of them were so good. All around this is a great place to bring your family to. We will goback for sure!! Read more
The drive thru was a bit slow, but not enough to keep me from coming back for the good food we ate. Happy!
