I went out to lunch here with my family everything that everybody got looked great except for with me I ordered a 1 enchilada... and tamale plate the tamale look like it was cut in half long ways and microwaved a chunk of the tamale was extremely rock hardlike they over microwave it. The enchilada didn't have meat in it at all it was just a tortilla that was wrapped in cheesemicrowaved and then had sauce on top of it. We were visiting Bonham for the first time. We noticed the Luna Azul restaurant because of the owner's children holding signs... and waving. We went to eat dinner there that evening. The service was great. The atmosphere was clean and family orientated. Thefood was hot and fresh. It was some of the best Mexican food we've had in a long time. Everything was delicious. Flew into Dallas and driving through Bonham, I searched for Mexican food near me, decided to give this place a try and didn?t... look at the menu. Figured every Mexican restaurant serves carnitas (pork) when I ordered my meat for my meal I was told theydon?t have carnitas, so I went with carne asada ( beef) all I could taste was salt and chili powder. Cheese not melted on beans.Way too many religious signs everywhere in my opinion. Read more
Best Mexican in Bonham!! The food is amazing here! Full of flavor and anything I?ve gotten is always good to me and anyone I go... with. We love Mexican food and have traveled the U.S. for rodeo and we try MANY! By far?we agree, our FAVORITE is THIS Luna Azul in... Bonham, TX! I had the Chicken Enchiladas in Sour Cream sauce served with Pinata Salad and Rice. Off the charts amazing! I didask to substitute one chicken enchilada for a Beef enchilada and the beef was excellent too. They were very accommodating tomake the substitution. Staff was super friendly. We were impressed by the cleanliness and atmosphere!!! This restaurant checksall the boxes for a perfect dinner! Go enjoy!!! We love it! I had the beef burritos smothered with spicy queso. It was so delicious. Fresh, hot chips, salsa was delicious. Refried beans... had a great flavor to them. So glad I found this gem. Ask for LeAnne, she was my server today. Very attentive and friendly. Iwill be back. Read more
The food was okay. A little overcooked, and took quite a while and the restaurant wasn't very busy. Out of all the Mexican food... restaurants in this town it is the best one, but definitely not the best Mexican food restaurant that I have ever been to. Theydo have cheap sodas ($1.50 all you can drink). The waitress was great and very friendly, so I gave her the extra star,otherwise I would only give it 3 stars. Read more
