We three had a late lunch there. So much fun. Great service; cozy, clean space; chatty owners; photos from their life story... adorn the walls. The guacamole was the best in the US. The pupusas are handmade with care, and interesting; the cabbage slaw forpiling on top was welcome, as was the salsa (though it would've been great if it were spicier). We were told most folks eat twopupusas, but one would've been plenty. They serve bottles of beer in frosty cold mugs. A great place! Read more

The Tamales & Macaroni are absolutely awesome! Hospitality can?t get any better either. I am in the service industry & ordered... my food to go. This is my first time meeting Jay & his lovely Wife. It was hot outside & he insisted to take a nice big frozenmug with ice in it for my Dr Pepper & even sent me on the road with real silverware trusting me to bring it back to them thefollowing day! Wow! First time to visit this little diner, and we had the most delicious homemade meals with specialty drinks! The owners,... Jay and Elva, are fun and welcoming! With the walls covered with family photos, the atmosphere is homey and comfortable! There?s lots to choose from on the menu, and Jay is happy to describe any item you?re unfamiliar with. Met Jay as we rode in to town, he very graciously recommended lodging and offered food. We assured him we would return once we... settled. By the time we got back it was almost closing time and still he and his wife were happy to see us. A unique and personal experience at a cute family owned restaurant. Delicious entrées consisted of four different papusas and... one pork tamale all with a tasty salsa and cabbage slaw. We finished off with a yummy rice pudding. Come eat here! I wouldcertainly come again! Read more
