Overall, I enjoyed my experience. The place was very nice, and the staff was extremely polite. The food was cooked well,... however I felt it was very bland. They could definitely use more seasoning while cooking. The leftovers at home were muchbetter by simply saying a little salt. One star for the blandness, one additional star for how well cooked it was, and a thirdstar for the staff. My wife is in a wheelchair, and while I could get her in and to a table, it was a little difficult. Great food, great setting. Have a top notch dinner in a top notch setting. A wonderful jazz duet serenaded us while we ate. The... guitar and sax combined to play great old standards in an unobtrusive way. Very friendly waitstaff were very busy. A little slowon the drink refills, but appetizers, salads, soups and entrees were served in perfect order with perfect timing. Their tea isvery good! My French onion soup was disappointing, too vinegary with half melted cheese but my shrimp cocktail was divine!Fresh, tender shrimp with a sauce that wasn't too hot, just right. Husband's shrimp and scallops disappeared quickly; my chickenpicatta dish was so large i got totally full and brought half home. Broccoli on the side was cooked to perfect tenderness.Husband reports teriffic tiramisu and beer and wine list. Ladies room is bright and clean with a changing table. Toilet was slowto flush but staff assured me it only did that during a particular cycle on the dishwasher. Had a great time here. Bringeveryone from your boss to your kids, everyone will enjoy it! Portions are small for $20 lasagna with $4 of meat sauce, and a... $2 upcharge for a Caesar salad The did accommodate gluten free with a gluten free penne pasta for my daughter, so that wasnice. The food is disgusting. We order Arancini as appetizer and fried mozzarella they taste like school cafeteria food. The marinara... sauce was a can sauce plain the smell and the taste was that strong that was impossible to eat. When the pasta came had thatsame smell and impossible to eat it too. Taste acid and the worse is that the waitress didn’t even bother to ask us if thefood was good. What a disappointment stay away from this “classic Italian” restaurant if you really know what Italian foodtaste. Read more
I was excited to try this place with the limited gluten free options in Boone. The service was nice, albeit slow. The appetizers... were nice. The gluten free pasta was absolutely repulsive. It was doughy and broke apart whenever touched with your fork.Everyone at the table tried it and no one liked it. It was really gross. I wouldn't recommend it for gluten free pasta, but fornon gluten free I'm sure its fine. Read more

You can sense the 40 years of history the moment you step in the door. Be generouswhen ordering your appetizers and soups! The stuffed mushrooms have become an easy favorite of mine (parmesan cheese, sundriedtomato, and bread crumbs--yum!); however, Casa Rustica boasts a variety of "Primi Piatti" to keep you coming back for somethingnew each time. The alfredo dishes taste amazing, as well. No matter what I order, I leave the restaurant full and satisfied.Highly recommended! Read more
