We drive an hour and a half each way every so often for Hungry Howie's because we like the food and don't have one near us. This... time we were extremely disappointed, and should have stayed home. The food was good as usual, however the person that rung usup was pretty short with us and I'd venture to say rude. The place was empty, yet he acted like we were keeping him from otherextremely important tasks. In his exasperated manner of taking our order, I didn't think to ask for my butter cheese crust whichis the main thing I like about their pizza, and he sure didn't bother to ask. If he was the person who was signed in on thereceipt, his name was Hunter. I understand it's not a fancy restaurant, but you can still be friendly. This time was a wasteof a three hour round trip. A huge thank you to the incredibly sweet blonde haired person working tonight at 1am. I placed an order extremely late and was... nervous about this already because I work in food service (I get it, lol). This was our second location eating at a Hungry Howie's Pizza! It was again FANTASTIC!! We ordered a large "The Works" (a... supreme) on Garlic herb crust and a medium pepperoni with 1/2 butter crust and 1/2 butter/ parmesan cheese crust. Both locations(N. Myrte Beach 2 weeks ago) were consistent on taste, food quality, and service. Shout out to Haley for taking care of us!Thank you!! Read more
I want to preface this review by making it very clear, I have been management in the food service industry for over 20 years,... the girl who so effortlessly manned the front with the blonde hair (at one point half shaved) and the glasses is absoluteperfection. I promise you need to do whatever it takes to keep her and keep her happy. The girls in the back worked their buttsoff all with smiles on their face, all the customers left with smiles .
