Stopped by here after a hike and Dean at the front was awesome. I got a steak panini and friend got garlic parm wings and we... both loved them. One of the best onion rings I?ve had (though it was kind of oily) and they make a killer handmade bleu cheesethat I enjoyed even though I?m not a bleu cheese guy. Tony and I stopped for lunch about 1:30 at Dan's Restaurant and Taphouse in Boonsboro MD. There was plenty of Free on street... parking in this gorgeous historic older Maryland town located on Route 40 The National Highway! The restaurant was not overlybusy and we were greeted and seated quickly in the bar area at a High Top. The restaurant is very lovely, great decor Ourwaitress was also the bartender but she was able to multi task like a master. Tony had a Budweiser in a bottle to fight the heatwave and I had a very good Half-Half Iced Tea with Lemon and Lime. Tony chose one of make your own Burgers with fries + pickleand I went with Tacos with Chips and Pico. The food was very good and we would definitely eat here again if in the area. I came in earlier in the evening for a quick bite to eat as I just got home from work. I had zero expectations as I had not... been to Dan's before. I couldn't believe how perfect both my meal and my service was! The restaurant was crowded and it seemedlike there were only a handful of people working. Mandy and Taylor were absolutely amazing. I never saw them stop moving! Ihad the Honey Old Bay Salmon and it was incredible. Despite how many other people were in the restaurant my food came outquickly and it was cooked perfectly. Taylor made sure to check in with my table repeatedly and made sure I had everything Ineeded despite having to wait on everyone else. It was incredible. After my meal I decided to grab a few drinks at the bar andMandy recommended the best beer flight. As busy as the bar was, Mandy made certain she greeted everyone and got drink ordersout so fast. There must have been 20 people at the bar yet she managed to take care of everyone, including the online orders! I found out that Mandy was one of the managers and you can absolutely see why. Because of today's experience and the level ofservice Taylor and Mandy provided I will be returning and recommending Dan's to everyone I know!!! Read more

Delicious food and great atmosphere! I've stopped here a couple of times while around the Boonsboro area. They were consistent... each time; great service, nice and attentive staff, and wonderful food. Previously I had a burger, which was cooked perfectly.This time I ordered the Bavarian Pretzel (you definitely have to try this!!) Great place to stop and have a pretzel and a beer. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They were also very... accommodating to our dog Stella. A great beer list for Brody, yummy treats to satisfy Izzy and Oliver after a long day ofcomplaining and coffee for Christy. And it's in a perfect location. Enjoyed eating here and they were busy when we spotted in on a Saturday evening. Were able to eat outside which is roadside, but... thankfully it's not a busy road. Service was ok, but a little stand offish. Otherwise, the was pretty good as we started withthe Southwestern stuffed tots which were tasty. My Taphouse Chicken sandwich was also good although the chicken was a littledry, but the bun was great. The Taphouse burger was good according to my husband and the onion rings were amazing. Went to Harpers Ferry then happened on Dan?s for dinner. The appetizers were amazing (buffalo nacho?s & crab dip). I got the... chef?s filet with bacon wrapped asparagus and potatoes and it was out of this world!! Only thing that wasn?t my thing was thecrab cake I added to make my meal a surf and turf it was on the fishy side and definitely not lump as we Marylanders like (but Ichalk that up to my taste buds not being the same as everyone else?s) this is a must try and will definitely visit again !! ????delicious Read more
