The waiter was short of rude when we first got there. Made us feel unwelcome. Short, no greeting, and basically we had to ask... him if he was going to take our order. Thought about leaving but heard good things about the place. Glad we stuck around. Iordered the brisket rueben and my husband had chicken sandwich. The food was great. The server, took forever to get us the bill,checked on us once never got refills on drink. We got there at 345 finally got our check after asking a different waitress andleft at almost 6pm. Read more
Came here again this evening. Not sure how but I believe it gets better every time. All new remodel since the pandemic. Added a... beautiful bar and some great new staff. The food is still amazing. Nicely decorated restaurant with an excellent menu andspecials. The servers work hard and every detail is important. Oh and the food well it is fantastic. This place is awesome everyvisit. We started off with fried mushrooms and they tasted like fresh morels that I just picked and fried at home and the portion was... huge! My wife had a side salad and it was a perfectly dressed salad with lots of cheese. She got the special which was anabsolutely large portion of lasagna and I got the Double Commander. This burger is so good, it is a double patty with a sweetbourbon glaze with mushrooms and homemade fried onion strings. The flavor of the meat is as fresh as I would taste as gettingfreshly ground beef from the butcher. I would highly recommend! Read more

Small place with plenty of seating at lunch on a Friday. Waitress was very nice and the food was good. The Commanders Burger has... a zesty house sauce "Zeppelin Sauce" which also makes a great dip for the fries if ordered on the side. We also tried theChicken Bites which were fried with a light and crispy batter. Even though they were pretty busy with the large number ofcarryout orders, our service was wonderful. Would recommend Commanders Grill if you're in the area. As a bonus, after enjoyinglunch you could stroll around the town square and visit some of the little shops such as Miller's 5 & 10, the Village Mercantileand others. Read more
Could only order chicken. I didnt care much for the slaw or the instant mashed potatoes. The rolls were cold. Salad had way to... many onions in it. It will be a while before we come back. I will say, the interior is beautiful! Read more
We ventured outside of Evansville and went to Boonville to this popular place that everyone raves about. We understand why the... fuss. The atmosphere was relaxed, warm, and welcoming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food ???? oh so good. Had thebig pork chop. It was BIG!! 20 ounces big! I sorta expected it to be dry or over cooked as something that's 3 inches thick isharder to cook. But they were able to get perfection on their cook. Oh and the salad that came with the meal was one of thosethat makes you want another. It had pepperoni, bacon, mozzarella and so much more. ???? we shared the mushrooms and dillpickles. Both had a spicy breading and came with two dipping sauces. To me I went with the Ranch because they were spicy enoughand did not need the spicy dipping sauce but my friends said the spicy dipping sauce made them even better. More power to them,right. They were crispy and on point with taste. I would have been happier if the breading had been less spicy but that's justme. I still ate my share. If you want a short adventure try this place. Read more
