What an outstanding location! It was a gorgeous sunny day and we sat outside watching the boats come and go. The Greek salad is... outstanding and the haddock was good. As it was Sunday there was live music with a guitar player and bass. Very peaceful andjoyful place to sit. Read more

We were five adults and two dogs. We chose Taka because they allowed reservation, but would not guarantee an outdoor table. ... When we reminded them we were bringing two dogs, they said not to worry as the indoor restaurant would accept them. Upon ourarrival, we were taken to an outdoor table for four, with an extra chair added, despite them having a table for six set up. Thetable for six was broken up later for two tables of two. We were not offered water for the dogs and had to ask for the extraplace setting to be brought to the table. The appetizers and dinners were well prepared with a sufficient quantity. Theseasoning was nicely done. We took a nice amount of food home for later dining. The view from the outdoor deck was of thelocal harbor with a lot of activity to watch. Stopped in for drinks and possibly appetizer. This restaurant was very busy. Sat at the bar, got bartender attention and ordered... drink which we received very quickly. No one returned to see if we needed another drink or menu. Got bartender's attentionagain, received bill and left. Again, this place was very busy. Read more
Wow! So, having a Mediterranean restaurant on the coast of Maine might seem out of place. But man, this place is legit. My wife... and I ate at another bar/restaurant located at an Inn not to far away for lunch and it was not great. We should have came herefor lunch instead. For dinner we split the Beef Tantuni which was amazing. The drinks were amazing (get the mojito)! Thestaff; fantastic. They were all attentative and helped each other. They even had great recommendations on the food. We were tornon the whole menu! At least for dinner they had music playing which went with the energy of the restaurant. Great food on the deck over looking the sunset. I had the spinach mushroom pide, blackened octpous and Turkish tea, it tasted... perfect. The pide was just enough for one person. Great service from Michael and compliments to the chef who came out to shakemy hand. Read more
